Basic Function Assists with the day-to-day operations of the University of Wyoming’s Sports Medicine Department. Assist all Sports Medicine personnel as needed/required including, but not limited to, providing operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for a comprehensive and functional knowledge of equipment room operations; established objectives and operational procedures. Recommends equipment for purchase, initiates necessary documentation for purchases and receives shipments for football and other select sports. Maintains an inventory of all equipment and supplies for football and other select sports. Initiates repairs of athletic equipment for football and other select sports.  Issues, fits and reconditions equipment for football and other select sports. Supervises the packing, transporting and set-up of equipment and supplies for all football practices and competitions. Coordinates laundry service for football and other select sports. Supervises the packing, transporting and set-up of equipment and supplies for athletic competitions for football and other select sports when necessary. Selects and trains designated support staff for Equipment Operations. Supervises student-athlete award program including purchasing, sizing, and inventory of awards within NCAA guidelines for football and other select sports. Coordinates with Licensing Director to ensure items purchased and embellished follow most recently updated guidelines and usage of University of Wyoming marks, logos, and colors for all athletic equipment and apparel used by teams and departments. Coordinates the scheduling and use of snowmobiles including training and maintenance for football and other select sports. Coordinates the Department's fleet operations for transportation of equipment for the football program. Coordinates van operation including scheduling vehicle use and drivers; equipment maintenance and inventory control for football and other select sports. Participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain appropriate work-related (e.g., equipment safety, etc.) certifications. Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.     Minimum Qualifications: Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or higher Experience:   Minimum of three years of athletic equipment operations-related experience in the sport of football at the collegiate and/or professional level. AEMA Certified Equipment Manager or ability to become certified within one year from hire date. Physical ability to handle bulky or heavy stock items, equipment, and supplies up to 50 lbs. Job Purpose: The University of Wyoming is accepting applications for the position of Director of Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Sports Medicine department for a successful DI (FBS) athletic program. Basic Function:   Responsible for management and administration of all phases of a successful Division I intercollegiate Women’s Soccer program.    Duties and Responsibilities:      Responsible for the athletic education/instruction, development/training and evaluation of student-athletes. Responsible for the search/recruitment, selection, education/instruction, development/training and evaluation of assistant coaches. Directs and manages assistant coaches including the delegation and prioritization of administrative responsibilities. Responsible for the search/recruitment of quality prospective student-athletes. Establishes and communicates team rules and regulations regarding, but not limited to, academic, athletic and social expectations/guidelines. Works closely with the Office of Academic Support (OAS) to ensure student-athletes progress towards graduation. Works closely with Sports Medicine staff and team physician(s) to ensure the safety and health of student-athletes. Works closely with Sports Performance staff to develop a comprehensive sports performance program. Works closely with Student-Athlete Mental Well-Being Staff to promote the overall well-being for their student-athletes. Presents annual budget requirements to the Director of Athletics or Sport Supervisor, and is accountable for expense control compliance and administration of the sport's budget. Works with the Office of Communications (Media and Public Relations) on all related matters to ensure the appropriate information is relayed to the media and community in an accurate and efficient manner. Assists the Cowboy Joe Club in fundraising activities/events. Develops a comprehensive and functional knowledge of the sport, and actively seeks to develop new performance methods and strategies. Basic Function: Assists Director of Player Personnel - Football in developing, implementing and managing the strategic planning process for recruiting prospective student-athletes. Assists the Director of On-Campus Recruiting with all facets of recruiting operations (of prospective student-athletes) for the program.                                                 Duties & Responsibilities: Assists in developing, implementing and managing the strategic planning process for recruiting prospective student-athletes. Works with Director of Player Personnel – Football/Head Coach/coaching staff to identify areas of need and formulates strategy to meet those needs. Assists with current student-athlete player evaluation (scouting). Compiles pertinent student-athlete information and presents it to Director of Player Personnel – Football/Head Coach/appropriate coaching staff member in a succinct format. JOB PURPOSE:     The University of Wyoming, a Division I member of the NCAA and a member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC), has a full-time opening for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Primary sports coverage will be for the Cowboy and Cowgirl Track and Field programs and may include coverage of other sports as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and who will exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, MWC, University and departmental rules regulations.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Providing and coordinating a high level of athletic healthcare services for assigned team(s) to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, Maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records and proper injury documentation, Coverage of practice and competition for assigned sport(s) including travel, nights, weekends, holidays, etc., Collaboration with general medical physician, orthopedic physicians, and other allied healthcare professions and communication with administrators, coaches, and student-athletes regarding student-athlete health status, and Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.  REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:  This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    A Master’s degree in athletic training, health science, or related field required.
