Job Purpose
The Assistant Director recruits, evaluates, and counsels prospective and admitted prospective students. Assistant Directors travel extensively (10-15 weeks annually), recruit and counsel prospective and admitted students for undergraduate admission, implement efficient and effective recruitment strategies, and manage assigned recruitment territories. Assistant Directors review applicants for undergraduate admissions and are essential to the day to day functioning of the Office of Admissions (including but not limited to presentations, phone and in personal counseling, and event programming). Assistant Directors have high level programmatic responsibilities. This Assistant Director position is permanently physically located within their assigned territory and works remotely.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required and at least 2 years of admissions experience. Priority given to applicants with previous supervisory experience (student or professional) and/or recruitment experience specific to northern New Jersey, the greater New York City Metropolitan area including Long Island, or Connecticut. An understanding of admissions procedures and the college selection process and an ability to work with diverse student populations is necessary. Ability to travel for extended periods of time. Strong planning, organizing, technology, and oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and the college community. As a regional position, this Assistant Director must be a self-starter, able to work independently from remote home/office location while also functioning as part of the larger Charleston Admissions team. Must provide exemplary customer service and display enthusiasm about the College. Must be an independent decision maker, have high degree of integrity and communicate frequently with supervisors. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Must possess excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Must have considerable knowledge, skills, and ability in computer operations, data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work closely with the other members of the admissions staff and across campus. Priority given to applicants that adapt well to evolving technology.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
This position serves prospective students from Northern New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. *The position will be expected to work from a home office within this territory, ideally in the northern New Jersey or New York City metropolitan region. Remote positions are expected to travel to campus 4-6 times a year. Must be able to travel extensively. Must have a valid SC or other state driver’s license.
Evening and weekend work will be required. Ability to lift and carry 40 – 60 lbs. is necessary. Experience working with CRM software (especially admissions specific CRMs like Salesforce/TargetX, Slate, etc.) and Banner products is preferred but not required.

Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of Operations, Clinical Care (DOCC) must be a proven successful clinic operations leader, a highly organized information analyst, advocate, and team leader. This valuable team member is responsible for implementation and management of the Medical Center, Medical Center Laboratory, IV Suite, and Neil Riordan Center business operating procedures and regulations, ensuring evidence-based best practices are established and followed, assuring full compliance of all regulations regarding patient, employee, and student safety, engaging marketing efforts to increase patient volume and enhance brand positioning, and assuring established financial KPIs are achieved. Alongside the Chief Medical Officer and the Associate Dean for Naturopathic Clinical Education, the DOCC will engage in continuous improvement efforts and establishing and supporting programs that drive community access to Sonoran’s healthcare services. The Director of Operations, Clinical Care will:

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month, exempt Director position in the Security and Safety department. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and orderly environment in which all members of the college community can pursue their educational and professional goals. This position plans, implements and evaluates programs that protect life and property; provides services and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community members; provides fair and equitable access to college facilities; and assures compliance with state, federal, and college regulations. About the Department: Clark College’s Security & Safety Department is comprised of non-sworn personnel that includes a Director, a Sergeant, an Administrative Manager, an Emergency Management Specialist, Communications Officers (dispatchers), Campus Security Officers and Office Aides that support the Lost and Found function. The department supports main campus with 24/7/365 coverage as well as support for our satellite campus in eastern Vancouver during that facility’s operational hours.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer, plan and implement security services for all college properties, including oversight of the hiring, training, and supervision of all department personnel.
Oversee and manage the operating budgets for the department.
Oversee, revise and enforce college policy related to security and emergency management.
Oversee, revise, and enforce department Standard Operating Procedures.
Serve as a subject matter expert to support projects, policy development or other college operations, as needed.
Ensure college compliance with federal and state requirements and serve as the college’s Compliance Officer with respect to the Jeanne Clery Act .
Maintain and distribute public information, including the publication of the college’s Annual Security Report. Provide timely warnings to the college in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Act.
Serve as a liaison between the college and local response agencies such as law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, public health and the Clark Regional Emergency Management Agency (CRESA).
Represent the college on formal and informal committees involved in local public safety issues.
Serve as a member of the SBCTC Safety, Security and Emergency Management Council (SSEMC).
Prepare and conduct safety and security awareness trainings and serve as a presenter during orientation sessions.
Develop written safety training materials for brochures, catalogs, and faculty/student handbooks.
Oversee or conduct investigations as needed.
Participate and support in several interdisciplinary groups such as the Safety Committee, Title IX Team, Bias Response Team, Safety and Compliance Team, Emergency Management Planning Committee, Student Care and Commencement Planning Committee.

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month, exempt Basic Needs Navigator position in the Student Affairs Unit, reporting to the Dean of Student Engagement. The Basic Needs Navigator (BNN) position will work with students to provide support and resources to meet their basic needs. This work includes providing intake, assessment, referrals and support in accessing educational, employment readiness, and financial and skill-building activities. The BNN will also work to build resource and referral connections with external organizations that provide basic needs resources. Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month, exempt Basic Needs Navigator position in the Student Affairs Unit, reporting to the Dean of Student Engagement. The Basic Needs Navigator (BNN) position will work with students to provide support and resources to meet their basic needs. This work includes providing intake, assessment, referrals and support in accessing educational, employment readiness, and financial and skill-building activities. The BNN will also work to build resource and referral connections with external organizations that provide basic needs resources. The BNN will also actively participate as a member of the statewide Cohort of BNNs, including attending trainings and meetings; contribute to the development of the statewide and campus specific Hunger-Free and Basic Needs Strategic Plan development and implementation; participate in ongoing evaluation and revision efforts to ensure appropriate and effective supports for prioritizing student basic needs; and in collaboration with WSAC and the SBCTC, support the implementation of a student survey that assess food and housing security and access to basic economic supports. The Basic Needs Navigator position is 32 hours per week (80% FTE) and benefits eligible. The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position requires in-person work. This position is exempt under FLSA but eligible for overtime and reports to the Dean of Student Engagement. The Basic Needs Navigator is funded by a state allocation and the Clark College Foundation. Position Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide follow up and ongoing support to help students resolve financial, personal, and other emergencies related to food insecurity and campus and community resources.
Implement an intake process for students to apply for public benefits that includes appropriate assessment of eligibility and overview of educational, employment readiness, financial, or other skill-building needs.
Provide intake, ongoing student support, and help facilitate wrap around services for students.
Collaborate with Student Leaders, Student Affairs Staff and other college employees to plan and implement campus programs addressing food and housing insecurity.
Participate in college wide efforts to support student access, persistence, and completion as part of Guided Pathways, Adult Reengagement, and other initiatives.
Coordinate with community agencies to increase student access to basic needs including housing, childcare, food, healthcare, and transportation resources. Serve as liaison between community agencies and students and make appropriate referrals.
Lead efforts to develop community resource referral processes, documents, and marketing materials.
Maintain student confidentiality and comply with FERPA regulations.
Actively participate as a member of the statewide Benefits Navigator Cohort, including attending trainings and meetings.
Contribute to the development of the statewide and campus specific Hunger-Free and Basic Needs Strategic Plan development and implementation.
Participate in ongoing evaluation and revision efforts to ensure appropriate and effective supports for prioritizing student basic needs.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree AND two (2) years of experience serving students or equivalent related education/work experience.
Experience planning and organizing that includes using communication skills, public speaking, listening, and writing.
Experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Office or similar programs.
Experience effectively handling sensitive and confidential information and materials.
Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
