The highly acclaimed Net Impact Conference is our organization’s flagship event, bringing together thousands of students, professionals, and expert speakers in sustainability, corporate responsibility, and social innovation each year, facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas through a wide variety of keynotes and 70+ panels, workshops, competitions, and special events.

This position requires a top-notch content producer who can help conceptualize and oversee the content and main stage presentations for the Conference.  The role also requires the ability to go from strategy into an actionable work plan and schedule, highlighting key dates and project milestones, and then to manage workflow, collaboration, decision-making, and deadlines through to the conference and beyond. The position also requires the ability to bridge the communication gap between technical and creative teams and manage projects through to implementation. In this important position your time will be divided between managing the team that performs all tactical elements of producing the conference and special conference projects for Net Impact, and for seeking out the leaders and storytellers who can help us understand the world and how we might change it.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a small events team responsible for the logistics, user experience, and programming and session / speaker management
  • Oversee the curation of programming
  • Working in a team capacity with other staff, (i.e. Marketing, Development etc.) to ensure our event fulfills the organization’s strategic priorities

Key performance measurements for this position include:

  • Creative measures of conception: i.e. does the event reflect our content standards and our brand standards of excellence?
  • Technical measures of delivery: i.e. does the event come off flawlessly? (or nearly so?)
  • Customer measures of satisfaction: i.e. do our customers feel our event is professionally produced?
  • Financial measures: i.e. is our event delivered on time and within budget?
  • Team leadership and management: i.e. can the Senior Conference Producer effectively balance esprit de corps with the requirement that the above be achieved.
