The Portland Regional Office of Legal Aid Services of Oregon is seeking a full-time staff attorney with 2-8 years of family law experience. The position is a general civil litigator with an emphasis on serving domestic and sexual violence survivors in Hood River, Sherman, Wasco, Clackamas, and Multnomah counties. Qualifications Competitive candidates will have a proven interest in and commitment to advocacy for the legal rights of low-income and other vulnerable populations, specifically DV/SA survivors; experience providing trauma-informed services to survivors; enthusiasm, creativity, good judgment, initiative, and willingness to work collaboratively; as well as a demonstrated understanding and commitment to anti-bias principles, cultural competency and addressing systemic racism and other forms of oppression. LASO has a hiring preference for candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and/or another language and are members of the Oregon State Bar.
Salary/Benefits Compensation is based on a 35-hour work week. Salary range is $66,200 – 73,700 for 0-5 years’ experience; $75,200 – 81,200 for 6-10 years’ experience and $82,700 - $105,200 for 11-30 years’ experience annually; salaries are determined by relevant work experience and our Collective Bargaining Agreement. Additional $4,300 to $5,700 annually for bilingual ability, depending on proficiency. The DLCC’s Research department strengthens the credibility and authority of the organization by ensuring DLCC’s narratives are the most salient in demonstrating the relevance of state legislatures among our primary audiences by elevating Democratic accomplishments and the harm done by Republicans. Fulfill the County's responsibilities as set forth in state rules and regulations, including chapters 90.54 (Water Resources Act of 1971), 36.70 (Planning Enabling Act of the State of Washington), 36.70A (GMA), 36.94 (Boundary Review Board), 57.02 (Districts) and 70.116 RCW (Coordination Act) and chapters 173-240 (Ecology rule on wastewater planning) and 246-290 WAC (DOH rule on water system planning);
Be responsible for providing the notification to Tribal governments for utility plan review/approvals that may affect Tribal interests within their usual and accustomed fishing areas (K.C.C. 13.02.020);
Approve additions and determents to council-approved sewer and water comprehensive plans without referral to the council to serve developments that have received preliminary approval from the King County Council;
Approve extensions to utility plans if the requested extension satisfies the UTRC rule;
Issue the findings required under K.C.C. 13.24.134, relative to sewer expansion in rural and resource areas;
Approve utility franchise applications under K.C.C. 6.27.050;
Serve as the contact person for County utility questions;
Serve as the County liaison to the Boundary Review Board for utility annexation questions;
Maintain the County's library of approved water and sewer plans, the UTRC web presence and utility paper files;
Provide testimony and technical assistance to the King County Prosecuting Attorney; provide expert testimony in litigation;
Provide information to citizens and resolve complaints regarding water and sewer activities;
Prepare proposed code updates, in coordination with County, State and regional stakeholders as needed to support the program and department interests;
Develop code and customer education pathways as needed to support the program and department interests;
Work with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and County Council staff to help resolve legal issues and questions that arise form legislative proposals;
Provide professional and technical support on Comprehensive Planning, Subarea Planning, and other local and regional planning projects and programs;
Prepare and support State Environmental Policy Act review of program and department legislative proposals.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:

Ability to draft utility plan review letters, ordinance transmittal letters, ordinances, and detailed written reports on how school district plans or water/sewer plans comport with King County Code and the Comprehensive Plan.

We are looking for a growth-minded finance manager for our Garden for Wildlife Social Enterprise division to work in our Reston, VA office. (Due to COVID-19 all employees are working remotely until we make return to work decisions). You will oversee all aspects of the financial health of our new Garden for Wildlife™ Enterprise (GFWE). The GFWE will expand access to native plants and trees, scale the conservation impact, and create an engaged and diverse community of wildlife gardeners – effectively improving the way all people plant to benefit wildlife and communities. The GFWE is an independent business unit within the Innovation and Growth division and you will report directly to the Head of Garden for Wildlife™. You will work with marketing, production, finance, operations and other leadership within Innovation & Growth.
Your Major Responsibilities:
Financial responsibility: Team lead for managing the annual budget, accurate forecasting for future years (5-year business plan), monitoring actual performance to budget, analyzing results and adjusting plans/re-projecting budgets. Specifically work with the members of the GFW team to determine the long-term benefits and costs of budget plans and marketing scenarios and provide information for budget reconciliations and plant orders. Develop approaches to contain costs, improve systems and streamline financial management for the business. Serve as liaison with the National Wildlife Federation’s Finance department staff to ensure overall effectiveness and compliance.
Detailed responsibilities include:
Track revenue and expenses for plant sales, growers, fulfillment, and marketing.
Assist team members with accounting and invoice coding to ensure invoices are recorded
Review the monthly P&L to identify any corrections needed
Directs and creates the P&L analysis for the existing businesses and any new products
Manages and guides the annual budgeting process and five-year planning to maximize the long-term value to our organization
Manage the accounting to ensure payment to outside fulfillment company, growers, shipping and any other outside vendors, acting as liaison with finance and accounting to answer and resolve questions.
Coordinates with legal and finance leads to manage all contract processing including modifications and renewals.
Reconcile reports and works through NWF systems to ensure state taxes are paid.
Prepare performance and financial reports
Promote continual process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration
7+ years of accounting, analysis and budgeting planning
Accounting and budget management skills
Strategic planning and business development
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Results-oriented and process-driven
Impeccable attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Excel (can perform complex functions)
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred
Experience in reconciling ecommerce sales with Paypal, Chasepayment tech desired
Salesforce experience ideal
Experience in finances of organizations that range across small start up companies to larger nonprofit subsidiary financial systems, preferred

The salary range for this position is currently $73,000 - $87,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
