Ensure timely payment to vendors, initiates monthly reconciliation of benefit plan deductions by validating/correcting inaccuracies between HRIS and vendor systems.
Reconcile financial statements.
Provide first-level support concerning benefits to managers and team members in an effective, efficient and engaging manner.
Provide census and audit support quarterly and annually.

Specifically, as the Dean, you support and facilitate programs and faculty to provide a quality education for students enrolled in programs within the School of Liberal & Applied Arts and Human Services. This is achieved by partnering with program advisory committees, local high schools, business and industry, along with participating in statewide Dean’s meetings and the Department of Education for the promotion of educational programs.

Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes long and short-range strategic plans for designated areas in collaboration with college leadership.
Appoints faculty assignments and schedule management.
Drives and manages innovation in Hawkeye's new and existing academic programs and teaching modalities.
Utilizes data from enrollment and retention reports to determine the number of sections of classes to offer, finding/assigning instructors based on their credentials; determining rooms based on equipment needs, and determining the time of course offering to best suit student needs.
Facilitates recruitment, registration, enrollment, and retention of students.
Prepares and/or reviews reports that provide guidance for student programming.
Oversees the curriculum development and assessment process.
Manages partnerships with schools and institutions to provide streamlined education resulting in efficient pathways for Hawkeye’s students.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Executes personnel decisions and actions such as hiring, job coaching, completion of staff performance evaluations, oversees assignment of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, and performs administrative tasks such as processing and approving leave requests and work load. Partners with HR regarding disciplinary matters.
Continuously analyzes and evaluates performance of faculty and makes recommendations for improvement. Manages probationary process of new faculty. Leads faculty development initiatives.
Prepares reports as needed for college, state, federal, or other entity reporting requirements.
Conducts advisory meetings to provide guidance on the directions of the programs.
Collaborates with other designated HCC personnel regarding course and program offerings for concurrent enrollment with school districts within the service area.
Collaborates with high school and higher education institutions to assure seamless transfers.
Resolve faculty and student issues to include by meeting with faculty and students to discuss concerns. Provides guidance regarding resolutions.
Collaborates with other community colleges to deliberate programs of study.
Collaborates with faculty to assess HCC equipment as well as assess future equipment needs within the departments and discipline areas.
Keeps apprised of higher education regulations and requirements, and developments via statewide community college meetings, conferences, and seminars, and other professional development avenues.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Manages the designated area(s) budget to include grants, professional development, and over all purchasing needs.
Manages materials and supplies; works with faculty and administrative assistants to assess needs, sourcing, and price determination. Facilitates the requisition and purchase order process.
Oversees assigned program area for accreditation and works with local school districts and the Iowa Department of Education regarding requirements for accreditation.
Attends HCC meetings to discuss and resolve college issues, and/or concerns.
Develops professional development opportunities for high school instructors. Works with faculty to provide courses that will provide college credit and re-licensure credits for high school instructors.
Participates on hiring committees for the selection of faculty, professional, and support service staff.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Oversees Arts and Culture, including the Art Gallery and Artist Series, the Liberal Arts Mini-Con, the Performing Arts Club, Hawkeye Reads, Phi Theta Kappa Honors program, Vocal and Instrumental Music concerts.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a curriculum discipline, education, administration, or closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with at least two (2) years teaching experience at the postsecondary level and or administrative experience at the post-secondary level.

Establishes long and short-range strategic plans for designated areas in collaboration with college leadership.
Appoints faculty assignments and schedule management.
Drives and manages innovation in Hawkeye's new and existing academic programs and teaching modalities.
Utilizes data from enrollment and retention reports to determine the number of sections of classes to offer, finding/assigning instructors based on their credentials; determining rooms based on equipment needs, and determining the time of course offering to best suit student needs.
Facilitates recruitment, registration, enrollment, and retention of students.
Prepares and/or reviews reports that provide guidance for student programming.
Oversees the curriculum development and assessment process.
Manages partnerships with schools and institutions to provide streamlined education resulting in efficient pathways for Hawkeye’s students.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Executes personnel decisions and actions such as hiring, job coaching, completion of staff performance evaluations, oversees assignment of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, and performs administrative tasks such as processing and approving leave requests and work load. Partners with HR regarding disciplinary matters.

Collaborates with other community colleges to deliberate programs of study.
Collaborates with faculty to assess HCC equipment as well as assess future equipment needs within the departments and discipline areas.
Keeps apprised of higher education regulations and requirements, and developments via statewide community college meetings, conferences, and seminars, and other professional development avenues.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Manages the designated area(s) budget to include grants, professional development, and over all purchasing needs.
Manages materials and supplies; works with faculty and administrative assistants to assess needs, sourcing, and price determination. Facilitates the requisition and purchase order process.
Oversees assigned program area for accreditation and works with local school districts and the Iowa Department of Education regarding requirements for accreditation.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the Direction of the Food Pantry Supervisor of the Necessities of Life Program (NOLP), promote access to food and nutrition education services to people with HIV through the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, recruitment and engagement of clients, and food distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the recruitment, retention, and collection of all volunteer documents that includes processing and electronically filing.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical Human Resource Consultant position is part of the HR Technical Unit. This position independently performs professional human resource functions for assigned programs, and provides professional support and assistance to the HR Business Partners assigned to specific programs as determined by the Tech Team Supervisor. In collaboration with Payroll and Environmental/Administrative Programs, complete full cycle personnel actions by processing appointment letters, creating personnel action forms and keying entries into the Human Resource Management System.
Administer Family Medical Leave Act and State’s Shared Leave Program. Consult with employees’ on Paid Family and Medical Leave; process their intent of applying for the benefit and coordinate it with other paid and unpaid leaves.
Serve as the first point of contact for many HR inquiries and provide high quality customer service to Ecology staff, leaders and members of the public by completing employment history requests, verifications of employment, salary inquires and much more.
Maintain confidential records per retention guidelines and assist Public Disclosure Coordinator with fulfillment of public disclosure requests.

The Technical Human Resource Consultant position is part of the HR Technical Unit. This position independently performs professional human resource functions for assigned programs, and provides professional support and assistance to the HR Business Partners assigned to specific programs as determined by the Tech Team Supervisor. What you will do: A typical workday for the Technical Consultant will be interpreting federal and state laws, civil service rules, collective bargaining agreements and agency policies in order to:
In collaboration with Payroll and Environmental/Administrative Programs, complete full cycle personnel actions by processing appointment letters, creating personnel action forms and keying entries into the Human Resource Management System.
Administer Family Medical Leave Act and State’s Shared Leave Program. Consult with employees’ on Paid Family and Medical Leave; process their intent of applying for the benefit and coordinate it with other paid and unpaid leaves.
Serve as the first point of contact for many HR inquiries and provide high quality customer service to Ecology staff, leaders and members of the public by completing employment history requests, verifications of employment, salary inquires and much more.
Maintain confidential records per retention guidelines and assist Public Disclosure Coordinator with fulfillment of public disclosure requests.

The mission of the Commonwealth Corps service internship program is to engage Massachusetts residents of all ages, backgrounds, and identities in direct service to strengthen communities, address critical needs, and increase volunteerism. Through hands-on experience, Commonwealth Corps members gain professional skills and valuable knowledge while positively impacting diverse communities in our state.
The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) is a private, nonprofit agency that oversees the program and supports host site partners and members to find success throughout the program year. The Boston Cares member will serve as a Commonwealth Corps Program Coordinator, supporting the growth and development of the Allies program by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutors, and developing systems and tools to facilitate stronger engagement, including the continued development of the Allies Peer Leadership Program a peer leadership program to build sustainable capacity. The Boston Cares member will also collaborate closely with the Commonwealth Corps member at English for New Bostonians to recruit and train new volunteer tutors and provide support to an active tutor base of 110 tutors serving with 11+ programs in Dorchester, East Boston, Roslindale, Allston, Chinatown, South End, and Quincy.

Complete a minimum of 1,500 hours of service, serving through June 24, 2023.
Attend a minimum of 6 Commonwealth Corps trainings and service events held by MSA post orientation.
Participate in a minimum of 1 hour of MSA-related activities each week. This may include filling out timesheets, completing a bi-monthly reflection or check-in, or other MSA-related tasks or activities.
Recruit, train, and support volunteer tutors serving in ESOL programs around Boston.
Support new tutor recruitment efforts bringing in and training new program tutors 2 to 3 times annually.
Plan and lead roundtables focused on creating community for tutors to improve tutor retention
Assist in the planning and leading of in-service trainings for tutors
Support students as a tutor at one or more program sites.
Communicate with volunteers via phone, email, and in-person to address questions and support engagement.
Engage in community meetings to meet community leaders and ESOL program students, understand community priorities and develop relationships with Allies for Immigrants ESOL Tutor Corps program sites, including monthly site visits and neighborhood roundtables with Allies tutors.
Support data entry and management in HandsOn Connect, a Salesforce based system for volunteer management; ensure volunteer opportunities are posted to the system and volunteer tracking is completed in a timely manner.
Continue development of the Allies Peer Leadership Program that engages volunteers in regular communication and support between students, programs, and Allies for Immigrants staff.

The mission of the Commonwealth Corps service internship program is to engage Massachusetts residents of all ages, backgrounds, and identities in direct service to strengthen communities, address critical needs, and increase volunteerism. Through hands-on experience, Commonwealth Corps members gain professional skills and valuable knowledge while positively impacting diverse communities in our state.
The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) is a private, nonprofit agency that oversees the program and supports host site partners and members to find success throughout the program year. The two Commonwealth Corps members with Boston Cares and English for New Bostonians will serve 10 months in a full-time capacity. They will join a diverse corps of members across Massachusetts who share a common desire to discover their passion and build their network in service to their communities and the Commonwealth.
