Hope House Colorado (HHC) is hiring an assistant director (AD) who is responsible for supporting the leading of the Early Learning Center (ELC) for Hope House Colorado. Direct annual professional learning for ELC (required and based on needs of ELC), including identifying needs, scheduling, budgeting and managing presenters
Assist the DCE in the compliance and quality of the ELC to reach and maintain a Colorado Shine 5-star rating (learning environment, leadership management and administrative plans, family engagement and child health program)

In addition, salaried employees are currently gifted the week of Christmas off, to be scheduled at the discretion of their supervisor.

Assistant Health Supervisor General Duties: The Assistant Health Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position, in conjunction with health supervisor, provides daily, on-call, and weekly health services for all persons, working in tandem with the wellness supervisor to provide mental, emotional, and social health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work under the direction of the health supervisor, wellness supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide health care for all persons within camp program.
Work under the technical supervision of the health supervisor and a licensed physician who is on-call to provide health advice, support, and services.
Work within the communicable disease plan to ensure safe and healthy practices and measures are taken to help mitigate the spread of illness.

Prepare and consistently maintain camp-wide first-aid kits. Provide supplies and gear for staff 'self-carry' first aid kits.

Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.

Health Supervisor General Duties: The Health Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and management of health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position is responsible for providing daily, on-call, and weekly health services for all persons, working in tandem with the wellness supervisor to provide mental, emotional, and social health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work with assistant health supervisor, wellness supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide health care for all persons within camp program.
Work under the technical supervision of a licensed physician who is on-call to provide health advice, support, and services.
Work within the communicable disease plan to ensure safe and healthy practices and measures are taken to help mitigate the spread of illness.
Accountable for the weekly and daily health screening procedures and results of all persons.
Communicate and advise staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support and oversight in the routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring health care environment and space for all persons.
Responsible for the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of the health center & medication delivery room.
Responsible for the housekeeping and laundry of the health center, including biohazard laundry.

At all times, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.

Perform initial and ongoing health/medical training for the purposes of staff continued education.
Continually evaluate staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices.
Provide health/first aid advice according to procedures.
Provide in-person medication administration training for staff, as needed & assigned.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.

Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements and departmental procedures.

Facilitate outdoor and camp programs:
Facilitate high-quality outdoor and camp programming for Girl Scouts that meet the needs of Girl Scouts and fosters the Girl Scout Leadership Experience .
Help create programming that is exciting, progressive, skill based and inclusive of Girl Scouts of all ages, ability levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
Adapt activities and methods to individual and group needs and abilities, provide opportunities for Girl Scouts to experience variety, challenge, and progression.
Use experiential, Girl Scout- led methods of instruction, and positive group management in accordance with the outdoor program department procedures and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Be prepared with activities for all types of weather and other changes in the planned program.
Act as the supervising staff person for a group of campers:
Demonstrate a caring attitude and manner with campers. Act as a role model of Girl Scout values for campers and staff.
Guide Girl Scouts in becoming a group that includes and appreciates all members and honors individuality.
Build appropriate and positive relationships with campers and communicate participant or group issues to Day Camp Site Director.
Carry out activities to encourage personal growth, learn skills, and provide challenges appropriate to age, ability and readiness.
Keep a high level of patience and understanding with campers and other staff during high stress times.
Prevent accidents and injuries through maintaining safety and risk management standards:
Implement Girl Scout, State of Colorado, and American Camp Association safety standards.
Conduct ongoing site inspection for hazards and verify that equipment is in safe condition before each use and is used properly for participants.
Give first-aid care and complete required documentation of care.
Respond to emergencies as appropriate in dynamic outdoor situations.

Summer Camp Photographer at Tomahawk Ranch
Make a difference in the life of a camper and spend an unforgettable summer in the Rocky Mountains! Tomahawk Ranch is located one-hour southwest of Denver in Bailey, Colorado. Activities include arts and crafts, backpacking, boating, horseback riding, zip lining, farm with ranch animals, dance & drama, archery and sports, photography, international cultures, nature and science, astronomy, homesteading, gardening, and outdoor skills. Camp themes include Wizarding, Fantasy (Percy Jackson, Zombies, Renaissance), Wild West & Mountain Adventure! Photographer General Duties: The Photographer is responsible for documenting the camp experience and managing the summer social media at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position is responsible for supporting and collaborating with the Assistant Photographer. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Implement the strategic plan for photography, videography, and social media during the summer season.
Capture quality pictures and videos for summer documentation and year-round marketing usage.
Edit photos and videos to acquire and optimize images for digital promotion.
Create, analyze, and publish content for the camp's and GSCO's social media and marketing platforms.
Work closely with the operational director obtaining approval prior to publishing.
Review camper photograph release forms, managing permissions.
Provide care & management of photography and videography equipment, including storage, maintenance, and usage in coordination with Assistant Photographer.
Provide and/or support emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support health and wellness practices.
Provide support as necessary to all operational, program, cabin leadership, and health staff.
Support the work of the site, kitchen, and housekeeping staff as needed.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.

Photographer General Duties: The Photographer is responsible for documenting the camp experience and managing the summer social media at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. This role will work closely with both the council, the SOCAC Executive Director, and other council staff to support the council, subcommittees, and workgroup by supporting workflow improvements, coordinating efficient flow of documents and requests requiring action from collaborators and council members, tracking due dates and assisting with timely responses to requests, ensuring timely payment of stipends and other reimbursements for eligible council members and taskforce members, ensuring SOCAC has the necessary forms and procedures to complete our work and ensure effective flow of information, and providing excellent customer service.

Assistant Health Supervisor General Duties: The Assistant Health Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position, in conjunction with health supervisor, provides daily, on-call, and weekly health services for all persons, working in tandem with the wellness supervisor to provide mental, emotional, and social health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work under the direction of the health supervisor, wellness supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide health care for all persons within camp program.
Work under the technical supervision of the health supervisor and a licensed physician who is on-call to provide health advice, support, and services.
Work within the communicable disease plan to ensure safe and healthy practices and measures are taken to help mitigate the spread of illness.
Assist in the weekly and daily health screening procedures and results of all persons.
Prepare and consistently maintain camp-wide first-aid kits. Provide supplies and gear for staff 'self-carry' first aid kits.
Participate in the communication and advice given to staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support in the routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the health supervisor and executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring health care environment and space for all persons.
Assist in the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of the health center & medication delivery room.
Assist in the housekeeping and laundry of the health center, including biohazard laundry.
Provide communication to health supervisor for health/medical supply and equipment requisitions.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
When directed, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the health services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.
Assure campers receive quality health care and medications as directed.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Assist in initial and ongoing health/medical training for the purposes of staff continued education.
Provide support for the evaluating staff on the camp-wide health procedures & practices.
Provide health/first aid according to procedures.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Provide quality documentation and review of the health/medical practices and procedures at camp.
Participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, CampMinder, Office365, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.

Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.

Assistant Health Supervisor General Duties: The Assistant Health Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Prepare and consistently maintain camp-wide first-aid kits. Provide supplies and gear for staff 'self-carry' first aid kits.
Participate in the communication and advice given to staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant and professional communication with caregivers regarding the health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support in the routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the health supervisor and executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring health care environment and space for all persons.
Assist in the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of the health center & medication delivery room.

Wellness Supervisor General Duties: The Wellness Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and management of mental, emotional, and social health services at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. This position is responsible for providing daily, on-call, and weekly wellness services for all persons, working in tandem with the health supervisor to provide whole body health at camp. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the camp staff team within all aspects of camp program.
Work with health supervisor, assistant health supervisor, executive camp director, GSCO health supervisor, and camp directors to provide wellness care for all persons within camp program.
Assist in the weekly and daily health screening procedures and results of all persons.
Communicate and advise staff on accommodations to provide for special medical/health/wellness considerations.
Maintain constant professional communication and partnership with caregivers regarding the mental and emotional health care and services provided to campers.
Provide support and oversight in routine and emergency health procedures in consultation with the executive camp director and in keeping with established guidelines.
Provide a comfortable, soothing, and caring environment and space for all people.
Encourage self-care among campers and staff by communicating needs, taking breaks, utilizing rest times, mindfulness strategies, and advocating for mental, and emotional health.
Responsible for the cleanliness, organization, care, maintenance, and inventory of assigned areas.
Provide requisitions for 'wellness kit' supplies, or various resources needed.
Program Responsibilities
Provide wellness, mindfulness, 'Popsicles of Positivity', and team building programs, with a focus on self-care, positivity, kindness, empathy, and JEDI practices.
Assist with the implementation of general camp program for campers during overnight, troop day, and family camp sessions.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
Provide care and supervision for all cases of mental illness, emotional support, neurodivergent persons, and special considerations of campers.
At all times, act 'in loco parentis' regarding the wellness services for all campers in overnight camp sessions.
Accountable for assuring campers receive quality wellness health care.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Provide support to staff seeking help/assistance in areas of mental, emotional, and social health.
Aid staff when reports of child abuse/neglect are made and contacting county due to the reporting of child abuse/neglect.
Perform initial and ongoing training in mental health, wellness practices, homesickness prevention & support, behavioral and special considerations, bullying/aggressive behavior, and guidance (discipline) strategies, for the purposes of staff continued education.
Continually evaluate staff on the camp-wide mental, emotional, and social health procedures & practices.
Provide mental health first aid advice according to procedures.
Provide in-person medication administration training for staff, as needed & assigned.
Verify staff competence before assigning them health care/first aid care role. Follow up on treatment given. Monitor staff performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Accountable for the documentation, review, and submission of all reports/situations, occurrences due to mental/emotional/social health issues.
Participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & care are positive and appropriate.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, CampMinder, Office365, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.

The Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) at Hope College oversees one of our largest residential halls or neighborhoods, and creates community by engaging students in a dynamic environment. We strive to create opportunities that develop, foster, and promote academic success, personal growth, intercultural competence, and exploration of faith. The RLC also serves on the Residential Life Leadership Team collaboratively developing and implementing the mission, objectives, and program for the Office of Residential Life and Education in alignment with the missions of Student Development and the college. Hope offers robust hall, house, and apartment living options and employs over 150 Resident Assistants (RAs), 4 RLCs, and nine part-time professional staff Resident Directors (RDs). RLCs provide leadership and oversight to either a cluster of halls or neighborhoods made up of upperclassmen in houses or apartments. RLCs also supervise their own RA staff. Relationship-Building

Present educational programs that respond to the developmental needs of residents
Link theory and practice in interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and other constituencies

Oversee operation of residence hall or neighborhood including, but not limited to, supervision of RAs, student engagement, community development, and addressing facility needs

Actively seek ways to integrate in-classroom and out-of-classroom experiences within the context of a Christian, residential, liberal arts college
Community Development
Create a community that fosters the development of relationships between members steeped in understanding and respect
Teach students and colleagues in areas such as ethical decision-making, vocation and calling, conflict transformation, collaboration, intercultural competence, and faith exploration/formation/engagement
Develop and implement specific programs and events to celebrate the richness of diversity and promote the active engagement of all students

Mediate conflicts within floors, neighbors, roommates; utilize a variety of approaches to effectively address emergent conflicts (e.g., roommate agreements, behavior contracts)
Interpret policy and procedures for students, staff, parents, and others
Participate in a rotation of on-call professionals to address residential/student crisis and concerns during evenings and weekends

Oversee and support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs by RAs throughout the academic year
Assist in the design and implementation of pre-service and on-the-job training covering a variety of topics pertinent to residential life and student development for RDs and RAs (e.g., policies and procedures, campus resources, leadership development)
Manage programming budget for individual hall as well as budgets for residence halls within supervision area
Institutional Citizenship
Serve on division-level and campus-wide committees
Assist with and/or support divisional programs and events (e.g., Advising student groups, judging the Pull or Nykerk Cup competition, staffing Student Life events)
Engage with the life of the College (e.g., attend institutional events such as speakers, performances, athletic contests, student programs and initiatives, and worship services)
Be present in the College community allowing for the development of planned and unplanned relationships with students and colleagues
Support the strategic vision of Hope Forward by engaging in departmental initiatives to cultivate generosity, accessibility and community for all students.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, or a related field preferred. Residential life experience strongly preferred.
