The CHS 2 will spend the majority of their time with clients in the community or in community corrections offices.
Typical tasks include:
Direct Client Service and Documentation: respond to referrals for care coordination, individual and family support, health promotion, and referral to community and social support services based on needs and risks of the client, based on their assessment and case plan.
Prepare and collaborate on safety plans for clients and families.
Health Care Assessment: Assess individuals and recognize social and mental health risk factors. Conduct health care screenings and coordinate health care while working directly with a Parole and Probation Officer to create a case plan.
Health and Treatment Navigation: Assist individuals and families in navigating health and mental health systems.
Referrals and coordination for housing.
Working with clients in custody and in the community
Working collaboratively with Parole & Probation Officers
Home visits are considered an essential function of the CHW position; clients are often most comfortable talking about sensitive issues, supports needed and barriers to care, as well as addressing health promotion in the comfort of their own home. Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Social Science, Criminal Justice, or Health Services, or related field; AND
At least one year experience in community outreach services providing health information, mental health information, advocacy, social support and assistance in using the health care system to individuals, groups and families.
Must pass a thorough background investigation which includes, but is not limited to, a review of applicant’s criminal, civil, driving, military, educational and employment history prior to employment.
Must have a valid driver license.
Licenses/Certificates:
Candidates must be able to become LEDS certified within 3 months of hire;
CPR certification is required within 6 months of hire.

What is an On-Call Membership Specialist?
The on-call Membership Support Specialist supports the recruitment and retention of Girl Scout volunteers and members through program delivery and logistic support of recruitment events.
They are responsible for attending community-based events where they will promote Girl Scouts, answer questions about the program, and facilitate basic activities. This position will collect contact information for prospective members and volunteers and connect them with the local Program and Membership Experience team.

Serve as the main point of contact for geographic area volunteers relaying pertinent information to council staff and to guide volunteers to additional support services and resources.
Work collaboratively with all Council departments to ensure council program and initiatives are successfully marketed to youth and adult membership.
Provide professional, superior customer service to all internal and external customers, members, volunteers, staff and other community contacts in person, electronically and by phone.
Volunteer & Member Recruitment
Through analysis of community needs, demographic data and membership statistics, develop, design and conduct recruitment and retention plan for youth and volunteer membership growth in designated geographic areas.
Establish the appropriate volunteer support team to accomplish key priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers in assigned geographic areas.
Membership Conversion
Guide potential adult and youth members on the Salesforce pipeline through conversion by phone calls, emails, etc.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
Coordinate the placement of registered Girl Scouts into appropriate troops.
Coordinate the placement of registered adults into appropriate volunteer roles.
Ensure that diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the daily work of the position.
Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with other members of the regional and volunteer support, recruitment, and placement specialist teams statewide to ensure the effective implementation of local and statewide renewal and member engagement strategies.
Collaborate with the program team to drive participation in staff-led program opportunities.
Collaborate with the customer care and data teams to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and accuracy of membership data.
Collaborate with Product Program team to drive participation in and deliver on a positive member experience within the product programs.
Support the efforts and commitments of Girl Scouts of Colorado in the area of pluralism and diversity throughout the organization and within each community served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and networking skills required.
Skills in conflict resolution and mediation.
Knowledge of volunteer management strategies preferred.
Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
Bilingual skills desired but not required.
Must pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.
EDUCATIONAL OR FORMAL TRAINING

EXPERIENCE
Experience in membership development, recruitment and/or retention, preferred.
Experienced in data management using sales/customer management software (Salesforce) preferred.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Computer and related software, telephone, e-mail, fax machines, copiers and equipment commonly found in an office environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Variable working schedule including potential for multiple evening meetings each month, weekends and some overnight stays.
Regular travel throughout council jurisdiction may be required.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, volunteers, customers and vendors.
Access to transportation with insurance at required state levels to conduct business statewide.
Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the Girl Scout insurance company.

Salary
This position pays $18.00 per hour. Bilingual pay differential of an additional $2.00 per hour may be available*

Support troop leadership teams and caregivers in completing renewal of their Girl Scout membership on an annual basis. Communicate that membership registration is a requirement of participation in the Girl Scout program.
Provide ongoing support, supervision, and direction to administrative volunteers in assigned geographic areas by interpreting Girl Scouts of the USA and council policies, standards, and procedures and by directing volunteers to additional support services.
Support service unit development and maintenance through implementation of recruitment and support strategies.
Identifies the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Support service units and troops in participation in product programs in coordination with the Product Program team.

The Platforms Associate will assist Civic Nation initiative and hub teams, specifically When We All Vote, by supporting the management of our existing suite of data collection and CRM platforms. YOUR IMPACT:
Collaborate with When We All Vote, and other initiative and hub teams to optimize data collection and strengthen organizational outreach efforts using EveryAction
Support with creating EveryAction and CRM processes to ensure timely data entry and track progress to Civic Nation’s programmatic outcomes
Manage and scale creation of online voter registration resources for Civic Nation partners, and maintain voter registration and engagement tools
Conduct trainings on technical offerings to non-technical users and provide ongoing support to users and staff.
Support with additional data collection needs such as:
Develop and manage new forms and surveys, and generate and analyze form reports for insights and improvements
Manage Civic Nation’s shortlink and QR code platform to optimize for accessibility.
Integrate additional tools and systems for data collection and management as needed to enhance program effectiveness.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of experience working with non-profit and/or political environments on data management and/or digital campaigns.
Experience using EveryAction (NGP/VAN/Bonterra)
Experience with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
Proficiency with facilitating virtual trainings and communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience

The University of Texas Libraries (UTL) seeks a librarian to join its active and evolving liaison program. The Liaison Librarian for Earth Sciences will be responsible coordinating library engagement, research, and learning services for a geographically distributed community, including the Jackson School of Geosciences and its Bureau of Economic Geology and Institute for Geophysics; the Department of Geography; and the Department of Marine Science and its Marine Science Institute, which is in Port Aransas, Texas. The position reports to the STEM & Social Sciences Engagement Team Lead; as an active member of that team, they will collaborate with colleagues to programmatically leverage our expertise, resources, and relationships to advance student success and deepen research collaborations between UTL and our campus community. This position will work from our main campus in Austin and is not responsible for day-to-day operations of branches or the supervision of branch staff.
Responsibilities
Research Support, Scholarly Communication & Digital Initiatives : Provide research support to students and scholars at all stages of the research lifecycle. Consult on data management, data sharing/preservation, and scholarly publishing. Advance scholarly communication and Open Science awareness and engagement across campus communities.
Collection Stewardship : Engage in collection development/management activities related to earth sciences, in collaboration with the Scholarly Resources Department’s STEM Collections Coordinator. Select and acquire new resources (monographs, serials, maps, data sets, etc.) in both digital and physical formats. Steward and manage gifts and Jackson School library endowment funds. Promote collections, particularly materials unique to UT, through digital projects, UTL communication venues, and collaborative initiatives.
Teaching & Learning : Plan and conduct classes, create learning objects, and initiate or engage in other activities to advance information/digital literacy among students. Support faculty in selecting and gaining access to course materials, including OERs. Develop and maintain subject-specific guides and instructional materials.
Engagement & Outreach : Establish and maintain relationships within the community of marine and geoscience students and scholars and serve as their primary library contact. Work collaboratively with the staff in the Walter Geology Library and the Marine Science Institute Library. The Biomass Policy and Market Graduate Student Summer Intern will work primarily between our science and investment teams to explore 1) how sustainable use of low-value forest biomass can help to achieve the breadth of policy initiatives working towards carbon neutrality by 2045, 2) what barriers exist to using low-value forest biomass for carbon beneficial uses such as hydrogen or biochar, and 3) how an environmentally sound and socially just forest restoration industry could be achieved.
Responsibilities & Duties

Research current policy initiatives working towards climate goals and how low-value forest biomass utilization can help to accomplish those goals.
Collaborate with Blue Forest staff and a wide range of partners from academia, government, non-profit, and industry to gain an in-depth understanding of how the State of California is currently working to achieve climate neutrality by 2045. Low-value forest biomass can help to accomplish carbon neutrality when used to generate carbon beneficial electricity, fuels, or other products, but we currently lack an efficient and cost effective way to access these resources.
Stakeholder Interviews
Interview a range of stakeholders throughout the state who can illuminate the barriers to creating ecologically sound supply chains for low-value forest biomass. Blue Forest manages the California Wildfire Innovation Fund, which is a first-of-its-kind climate fund that seeks to generate competitive financial returns while reducing fire risk for communities and ecosystems by investing in the wood utilization and wildfire mitigation sectors. However, for the fund to be most effective, reliable and transparent supply chains for low-value woody biomass must be developed in ways that reinvigorate forest-based industries and underserved rural communities throughout the state.
Report Writing
Summarize and synthesize finds from desktop research and interviews into a short publicly facing report outlining the current opportunities and barriers to develop socially and ecologically restorative supply chains for low-value forest biomass.
Prepare an academic publication for submission.
Collaborate with partners at the Office of Planning and Research at the Governor’s Office to propose policy solutions to biomass supply chain development.

This position will substantially contribute to our work on off-grid energy access. For context, more than 1 billion people worldwide are currently unable to access reliable grid electricity. Modern off-grid solar products help support these communities by providing clean and reliable energy for homes, farms and small businesses, and local facilities including schools and health clinics. As the technical lead for the VeraSol program, our off-grid energy access team develops and implements international test protocols for quality assurance to ensure that solar products and appliances are safe, durable, reliable, and perform as advertised. We work closely with national governments, manufacturers, and nonprofit organizations seeking to provide energy access and resilience across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

What is a Community Connections Director?
The Community Connections Director develops and oversees the delivery of community engagement and alternative program delivery models intended to engage diverse and underrepresented communities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Development and Engagement
With the support of the Chief Membership & Program Officer, create an annual needs-based, data-driven comprehensive outreach and recruitment plan with measurable goals.
Design, develop, and implement innovative programs and delivery models to reach underrepresented populations.
Provide leadership and supervision to a team of Program Specialists in the delivery of community-based programs and alternative program delivery models. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, coaching, development, and performance management functions.

What is a Community Connections Director?
The Community Connections Director develops and oversees the delivery of community engagement and alternative program delivery models intended to engage diverse and underrepresented communities. This position serves as a champion for and key contributor to driving membership-focused diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Provide leadership and supervision to a team of Program Specialists in the delivery of community-based programs and alternative program delivery models. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, coaching, development, and performance management functions.
Create community awareness and Girl Scout visibility through community involvement and engagement (i.e. youth coalitions, local partnerships and events geared towards underrepresented communities). Cultivate relationships with relevant community leaders, organizations, and businesses.

The UC Berkeley Labor Center conducts research and education on issues related to labor and employment. The Labor Center’s student engagement and leadership training serve to educate a diverse new generation of labor leaders. The Labor Center carries out policy relevant research on topics such as job quality and workforce development, and works with unions, policymakers and other stakeholders to develop innovative policy perspectives and programs. The Labor Center provides an important source of research and information on unions and the changing workforce for students, scholars, policymakers and the public. The UC Berkeley Labor Center conducts research and education on issues related to labor and employment. The Labor Center’s student engagement and leadership training serve to educate a diverse new generation of labor leaders. The Labor Center carries out policy relevant research on topics such as job quality and workforce development, and works with unions, policymakers and other stakeholders to develop innovative policy perspectives and programs. The Labor Center provides an important source of research and information on unions and the changing workforce for students, scholars, policymakers and the public. Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Special Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA):
Thorough knowledge and understanding of cultures, customs, and social experiences of communities experiencing marginalization and barriers to opportunity, especially in communities of color.
Experience in performing community-based research activities with communities of color and agencies who serve marginalized communities.
Thorough knowledge of how equity, inclusion, implicit bias, institutional racism, and other forms of systemic oppression apply to research and evaluation activities.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent to a master's degree, with major coursework in criminal justice, social sciences including studies in applied research or evaluation subjects , psychology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Four years of increasingly responsible applied research and/or evaluation experience, including experience leading research or evaluation projects
Must pass a thorough background investigation which includes, but is not limited to a review of applicant’s criminal, civil, driving, military, educational and employment history prior to employment.
