What you will do!
The Children’s Behavioral Health Medical Review Coordinator (BHMRC) provides comprehensive clinical professional consultation regarding which behavioral health condition and clinical treatment combinations are covered under the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and assists providers in determining if and which alternative clinical treatments would be covered by the OHP. The BHMRC references Oregon Administrative Rules and Health Evidence Review Commission guideline notes to establish a consistent baseline of OHP benefits when addressing requests for OHP coverage of health services. In addition, the BHMRC is responsible for reviewing prior authorization requests for services, equipment, and supplies, using their clinical knowledge and experience to interpret submitted clinical records to verify that the services, equipment, or supplies being requested are covered by the OHP.
The BHMRC is also responsible for supporting the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program by identifying and approving medically necessary and medically appropriate services for members younger than 21 years. In addition, the BHMRC identifies occurrences where it is appropriate to approve benefit coverage of other services, equipment, or supplies by exception to existing agency guidance when they are deemed medically necessary, medically appropriate as well to collaborate on agency rule, policy, and guidance development to ensure that guidance supports the health needs of OHP recipients.

We do the following procedures: plasma exchange, red cell exchange leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, photopheresis, therapeutic phlebotomies, platelet reductions, and white blood cell depletion. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities): You will perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in multiple settings including critical care, emergency room, and freestanding outpatient centers. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and access vortex and bard ports. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· BSN required.
· Current Washington state RN license in good standing required.
· Oregon state RN license required within four months of hire.
· Current CPR required.
· Two years recent experience in maternal-child health, public health, home visiting, or mental/behavioral nursing preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Nursing Director, the Registered Nurse will provide culturally competent medical health services to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County, with a specific focus on the LGBT community.
The Registered Nurse will assure quality and cost-effective care for clinic patients, and will manage a patient’s course of treatment, and coordinate care with providers and other clinical support staff to ensure quality patient outcomes are achieved within established time frames with efficient utilization of resources. In addition, the Registered Nurse will work closely with the Medical Director and Nursing Supervisor to design, implement and monitor workflow processes throughout all APLA Health sites as it pertains to patient centered medical home (PCMH) implementation. This position is primarily clinical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical support to medical providers before and after primary care visits so as to ensure the timely delivery of quality medical care.
Interface with medical assistants to ensure patients receive specialty referrals in a timely manner and are able to follow through so as not to interrupt patient care.
Treat patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in a timely manner and according to APLAHW clinical STI treatment guidelines.
Administer vaccines to patients per APLAHW clinical guidelines.
Provide and appropriately document health education to patients.
Participate in quality improvement activities as directed by the medical director, e.g. data analysis and measurement of outcomes, document and report the results and accomplishments of quality improvement initiatives.
Triage patients who walk in to clinic or call with acute medical concerns.
Assist front office staff in making appropriate arrangements for patients who arrive late for appointments or for whom an appointment needs to be rescheduled, by reviewing the medical record and determining how soon and where the patient should be seen.

Training and Experience:
A valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid California driver’s license; proof of auto liability insurance; and have the use of a personal vehicle for work related purposes.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Nursing Director, the Registered Nurse will provide culturally competent medical health services to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County, with a specific focus on the LGBT community.
The Registered Nurse will assure quality and cost-effective care for clinic patients, and will manage a patient’s course of treatment, and coordinate care with providers and other clinical support staff to ensure quality patient outcomes are achieved within established time frames with efficient utilization of resources. In addition, the Registered Nurse will work closely with the Medical Director and Nursing Supervisor to design, implement and monitor workflow processes throughout all APLA Health sites as it pertains to patient centered medical home (PCMH) implementation. This position is primarily clinical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical support to medical providers before and after primary care visits so as to ensure the timely delivery of quality medical care.
Interface with medical assistants to ensure patients receive specialty referrals in a timely manner and are able to follow through so as not to interrupt patient care.
Treat patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in a timely manner and according to APLAHW clinical STI treatment guidelines.
Administer vaccines to patients per APLAHW clinical guidelines.
Provide and appropriately document health education to patients.
Participate in quality improvement activities as directed by the medical director, e.g. data analysis and measurement of outcomes, document and report the results and accomplishments of quality improvement initiatives.
Triage patients who walk in to clinic or call with acute medical concerns.
Assist front office staff in making appropriate arrangements for patients who arrive late for appointments or for whom an appointment needs to be rescheduled, by reviewing the medical record and determining how soon and where the patient should be seen.
Provide supervision and guidance for the clinic LVN and MAs.
