JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer, plan and implement security services for all college properties, including oversight of the hiring, training, and supervision of all department personnel.
Oversee and manage the operating budgets for the department.
Oversee, revise and enforce college policy related to security and emergency management.
Oversee, revise, and enforce department Standard Operating Procedures.
Serve as a subject matter expert to support projects, policy development or other college operations, as needed.
Ensure college compliance with federal and state requirements and serve as the college’s Compliance Officer with respect to the Jeanne Clery Act .
Maintain and distribute public information, including the publication of the college’s Annual Security Report. Provide timely warnings to the college in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Act.
Serve as a liaison between the college and local response agencies such as law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, public health and the Clark Regional Emergency Management Agency (CRESA).
Represent the college on formal and informal committees involved in local public safety issues.
Serve as a member of the SBCTC Safety, Security and Emergency Management Council (SSEMC).
Prepare and conduct safety and security awareness trainings and serve as a presenter during orientation sessions.
Develop written safety training materials for brochures, catalogs, and faculty/student handbooks.
Oversee or conduct investigations as needed.
Participate and support in several interdisciplinary groups such as the Safety Committee, Title IX Team, Bias Response Team, Safety and Compliance Team, Emergency Management Planning Committee, Student Care and Commencement Planning Committee.
Working with the VP of Operations, coordinate and facilitate meetings related to inclement weather as well as monitor campus conditions and weather forecasts/alerts from Clark County, the National Weather Service, and other sources.
Maintain close ties with administration and security at Hudson’s Bay High School and Washington State University Vancouver.
Oversee the college’s parking enforcement program. Review and respond to appeals of parking citations.
Oversee the authorization and production of employee identification credentials and electronic access cards.
Supervise the Emergency Management Specialist and oversee the college’s emergency response program and protocols.
Ensure that the college’s Emergency Operations Plans, and continuity of operations (COOP) plans are in place and regularly updated.
Provide leadership and guidance during emergencies or other incidents that affect the safety of the college community or college operations.
Work closely with Facilities Services to plan, coordinate, and implement improvements and modifications to college facilities that involve safety and security.
Work closely with Events Scheduling, Facilities Services, and Student Life to ensure compliance of on-campus events with college rules and regulations, building use rules, and fire regulations.
Coordinate and monitor First Amendment Activities that occur on college property.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field AND four (4) years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field, OR Associate’s degree in criminal justice or related field AND six (6) years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field, OR ; a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in security or law enforcement with a minimum of five (5) of those years in a formal supervisory or managerial role.
Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.

Join our team! As part of the Greenway Trust’s Education team, you will have the opportunity to help equip and inspire youth to be curious, compassionate stewards of nature. During the school year, the Educators deliver classroom lessons, field study trips, and stewardship events (e.g., planting trees or removing non-native weeds) for 4th-8th grade students. Curriculum topics include forest ecosystems and salmon, and field trip sites include Lake Sammamish State Park and Tiger Mountain State Forest. During the summer, the Educators co-lead the Youth Engaged in Sustainable Systems (YESS) high school internship in either Highline School District (Burien) or Riverview School District (Carnation). Educators teach classroom- and field-based lessons at a variety of sites with the YESS student interns.
The successful Educator will demonstrate a passion for helping young people — especially those from communities that are underrepresented in environmental fields and/or new to environmental topics — make personal positive connections with nature. The Design and Engagement Coordinator will report to the ECHO Design Manager. This is a full-time position.
The Design and Engagement Coordinator will collaborate with the team to develop landscape designs, supplemental materials and graphics, and support other programmatic needs. Design will focus on outdoor spaces where young children and families spend time on a daily basis: primarily child care centers, but also including schools, libraries, parks, museums, community centers, hospitals, neighborhoods. The position will be expected to apply evidence-based, best practice design principles to a variety of site contexts and create developmentally-appropriate, custom design solutions driven by the programmatic needs of the clients and site users. The candidate should be able to communicate design concepts and ideas through hand sketching, graphics, and rendering skills, have a strong attention to detail, have excellent organizational skills, be flexible, and have strong technical skills (grading, construction knowledge).
In this role you will:
Support design work including preparation of base maps, schematic designs, planting plans for sites including child care programs, schools, parks and other spaces used by young children and families.
Collaborate with the team to develop content for and deliver community presentations, training and professional development offerings for educators, and various community engagement workshops and activities.
Develop opinion of probable cost calculations and phasing recommendations.
Communicate with clients including setting up meetings for site visits, design reviews, and design delivery presentations.
Support coordination of site visits, perform site analysis, conduct site measurements and photo documentation. This will include locating and verifying available site data from multiple sources, evaluating existing conditions, and conducting detailed photographic mapping.
Support facilitation of participatory design workshops and the annual Summit.
Plan, procure materials for, and assist with volunteer workdays.
Provide ongoing construction technical assistance to site representatives (on call support).
Support project management and collaborate to ensure progress towards design delivery timelines and goals.
Prepare supplemental material for grant reports, including charts, diagrams, and booklets.
Maintain archival systems for photographs and other design components and refine systems as needed to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications:

In this role you will:
Support design work including preparation of base maps, schematic designs, planting plans for sites including child care programs, schools, parks and other spaces used by young children and families.

Develop opinion of probable cost calculations and phasing recommendations.

Prepare supplemental material for grant reports, including charts, diagrams, and booklets.
Maintain archival systems for photographs and other design components and refine systems as needed to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge).

Responsibilities
The role of Museum Preparator works as a member of the Preparation & Design Team assisting with proper gallery and exhibition maintenance and repair.
Typical tasks in this role would include:

Drives large trucks and vans, to perform safe transit of museum objects, loaned objects, and casework. Drives and operates scissor lifts, single-operator lifts (in excess of 40'), and forklift. Operates rigging equipment (gantry/hoist, boom lifts, duct lifts).
Follows all applicable safety policies and procedures as outlined by the Ringling Museum and Florida State University. Troubleshoots shop equipment. Ensures cleanliness and proper maintenance of workshop and its equipment. Assists conservation with maintenance as needed.
Serves as Mount Fabrication Specialist, responsible for training staff on techniques and process related to mounts. Supervises mount-making projects and works closely with external vendors. Establishes fabrication and installation plans for all museum mounts of loaned objects and permanent collection items.
Mats and frames work on paper (photographs, drawings, prints). Performs lighting installation and maintenance in galleries. Performs packing and crating of loaned objects and permanent collection objects. Executes the fabrication of casework and supports, installs/assembles wall/case systems. Prints, presses, cuts, and installs labels and gallery text. Installs, maintains AV equipment within MOA galleries.
Performs other duties as assigned including implementation of emergency protective measures and maintenance of gallery and storage spaces.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience.
Valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
Ability to meet physical requirements as determined by position including the ability to climb ladders, lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of exhibit displays, display design and installation.
May include framing, art installation, construction and finishing, carpentry work, alterations, and repairs.
Ability to interpret technical and artistic designs and create a final product.
Knowledge of art storage and display methods, techniques, and procedures.
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of collections management to include proper handling, installation, preservation, and/or maintenance.
Ability to package products for shipping/delivery.

We’re looking for a 2021 Latin America Programs Learning Fellow to join the Root Change team in the development revolution for 40 hours/week for 6 months !
Your Role
The 2021 Fellow will support the Root Change team as an independent contractor , working closely with the entire staff and our diverse partners—international NGOs, movements, foundations, civil society organizations, and more—to develop and implement surveys, clean and analyze data, engage with partners through meetings and webinars, share learning and stories from our programs in written materials, offer high-quality customer service, and more. More specifically, your work will include:
Survey and Product Development
Create and test sophisticated data collection surveys, including complex skip logic and more, for the Community Independence Initiative (CII) ; and
Participate in design sessions and offer rigorous, detail-oriented product testing for our social network analysis platform, Pando .
Data Collection & Analysis
Clean and convert raw survey data collected from monthly CII “Family Journals” into informative metrics, summaries, graphs, and visuals; and
Clean and analyze social network analysis data about social entrepreneurs in Malawi, educators in Kenya, etc. collected through Pando.
Partner Engagement, Facilitation & Customer Service
Develop polished presentations and learning materials in English and Spanish;
Engage in client meetings, webinars, and presentations to take detailed notes, facilitate discussions, and/or provide Spanish translation;
Respond to clients questions with stellar email customer service; and
Share individual local perspective, context, and experience in Root Change program design and implementation meetings.
Communications & Knowledge Management
Draft blog posts that tell stories about what we’re learning from our programs and to elevate the experiences and ideas of our local partners; and
Work with Root Change staff to organize and maintain programmatic knowledge management systems, using Dropbox, Sharepoint, Google Drive, and more.
Your Background
From Latin America (Experience in Guatemala, Mexico, or Colombia a plus)
Fluent in English and Spanish
Strong educational or professional background in international development, non-profit work, community organizing, or similar field (Ideal candidates will be early career professionals, graduate students, or recent graduates)
2+ years of relevant work, internship, or volunteer experience
A passion for supporting locally-led development and listening to the voices of the communities we seek to serve
Your Skills & Experience
Comfort with Excel (Experience data cleaning and data processing using Excel formulas a must; experience with pivot tables and visualization tools a plus.)
Experience using online survey tools such as Alchemer/Survey Gizmo
Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
A meticulous attention to detail, especially when cleaning data, setting up surveys with skip logic, and formatting, saving, and organizing documents
Experience writing professional communications including blogs, one-pagers, program reports, and/or digital marketing materials for a variety of audiences,
Comfort applying fonts, colors, and other branding guidelines in Word and PowerPoint
Experience engaging in client meetings and offering email customer service (Facilitation experience a plus)
