Works closely with student life and other offices to create and cultivate opportunities for student leadership and service in a global society.
Collaborates with key campus partners to develop student formation-wide student leadership initiatives, collaborating with curricular partners and other partners such as Boerigter Center and Center for Leadership.
Collaborates with the VP/Dean of Students to advise Student Congress, including direct advisement of the Student Congress Appropriations Committee.
Oversees the staff in student life to continue to develop club and organization advising structures, and works to expand those structures to the Student Formation Division.
Supports the Associate Dean of Student Life in maintaining and developing a robust and effective fraternity and sorority life program and cultivate social traditions, student activities, and student engagement across the collegiate community.
Develops and implements tools to measure student engagement across the Student Formation Division and tell the story of the Hope student experience in light of Hope Forward.
General Duties
Act as Vice President for Student Formation/Dean of Students’ designee when needed.
Serve as a key member of the Student Formation Council.
Serve on College governance committees as assigned.
Serve in on-call capacity
Work closely with campus and community partners to ensure that all students are supported throughout their Hope College experience. Engage students personally and through presence at appropriate collegiate events.
Qualifications Requirements
Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related field.
7-10 years professional experience in student conduct, mediation, Title IX. Experience to include resolution of complex student issues including interfacing with families and other constituents.
Demonstrated commitment to the Christian mission of Hope College, and ability to develop and enact policies, procedures and programs that reflect Hope College’s mission, virtues of public discourse and Christian Aspirations.
Supervisory experience, to include leading and developing effective training.
Ability to cultivate relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience and knowledge in student conduct administration, policy development, ethics.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse campus population.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Purpose Reporting to the Associate Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs, the Event Operations Manager will plan and execute events for the Harry Ransom Center that serve researchers, students, faculty, staff, public, members, donors, and external groups. Events range from public programs and lectures, membership programs and receptions, advisory council meetings and receptions, donor events, staff gatherings, and facility rentals to a major fundraising gala held every five years.

Responsibilities Function 1: Program Design & Delivery
Working closely with staff across Programming, Membership, Development, and Marketing, helps develop, deliver, and assess both in-person and virtual programs for the Ransom Center. Manages event logistics from start to finish, including public programs, donor and member events and receptions, and staff functions. Works with caterers, independent contractors, sponsors, fellow staff, and others to ensure all events comply with university and Ransom Center policies and are in keeping with the Center's mission. Participates in event execution and is onsite for the duration of each event, including rehearsals, sound check, load-in/out, set up, and breakdown .
Develop public programs budget and track use of funds.
Function 2: Program Administration
Solicits bids from vendors, negotiates contracts, and follows appropriate university and Ransom Center business office processes. Processes all necessary event forms, purchase requests, payments, and contracts to ensure prompt payment for services. Communicates and coordinates with vendors on vendor guidelines, arrival, load-in, and load-out procedures for all events.
Works with external organizations to facilitate site rentals. Develops and shares event confirmations that include customized quotes and planned schedules for the unique needs of each event. Works with external organizations in-person, by phone, and over email to ensure each external event is thoughtfully executed. Submits invoices to organizations and maintains attendance reports following each event.
Function 3: Site Administration
Coordinates event plans with Ransom Center facilities manager, guards, custodians, technology, and business office staff. Collaborates with relevant staff across Programming, Development, and Marketing to review space use requests and maintains an ongoing schedule of approved external events.
Provides reliable, high-quality administrative support exhibiting excellent communication, follow-up, and ability to take on independent projects. Assists with booking travel, hotel, or other arrangements for guest speakers or invited guests. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining budgets; communicating effectively with Ransom Center colleagues, outside organizations, speakers, and vendors; generating event reports; coordinating and managing special event volunteers; and representing the Ransom Center in a positive and professional manner.

Job Purpose
Associate Director, First Year Experience provides administrative, programmatic, and logistic support for areas related to the First Year Experience ( FYE ) program. FYE partners with other departments, programs, and faculty across campus to support student success in the first year through their completion of the FYE requirement. The AD helps manage enrollment in FYE and FYSS courses, anticipate enrollment numbers, run pre-enrollment and enrollment for fall and spring semesters, produce registration reports, track the successful completion of the FYE requirement for all First Year, iCharleston, and Charleston Bridge students, and otherwise assists the FYE Director and FYE Committee. The AD is responsible for maintaining the FYE website and other digital and marketing materials for students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years progressively responsible experience working with students in a higher education environment required. Master’s degree preferred. Some training in or familiarity with First Year Experience programs is desirable, but not required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose
Associate Director, First Year Experience provides administrative, programmatic, and logistic support for areas related to the First Year Experience ( FYE ) program. FYE partners with other departments, programs, and faculty across campus to support student success in the first year through their completion of the FYE requirement. The AD helps manage enrollment in FYE and FYSS courses, anticipate enrollment numbers, run pre-enrollment and enrollment for fall and spring semesters, produce registration reports, track the successful completion of the FYE requirement for all First Year, iCharleston, and Charleston Bridge students, and otherwise assists the FYE Director and FYE Committee. The AD is responsible for maintaining the FYE website and other digital and marketing materials for students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years progressively responsible experience working with students in a higher education environment required. Master’s degree preferred. Some training in or familiarity with First Year Experience programs is desirable, but not required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

This position is responsible for assisting the Keep Douglasville Beautiful (KDB) Executive Director in program development, planning, management and implementation of programs and services which promote the beautification and environmental quality of the City of Douglasville to include: recycling, clean-up efforts, beautification projects, public education and public awareness campaigns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinates and assists with creating public education and marketing plans and materials for KDB to ensure delivery of effective environmental and instructional information pieces.
Creates and implements production schedule for multi-media public information campaigns.
Designs and creates graphic information pieces such as calendars, brochures, posters, and advertisements for print within production deadlines.
Writes engaging and informative text for press releases, advertising, and instructional pieces with considerable professional skill and meeting organizational standards for writing, style, and grammar.
Develops and presents educational and informational workshops for civic groups, schools, volunteers, and the public, identifies and schedules speakers; develops and maintains presentation materials; and coordinates arrangements for facilities and resources.
Maintain (water, fertilize, weed, etc) KDB plantings; Butterfly Garden, Mill Village, downtown and cemetery planters, and organize seasonal refreshes with use of volunteers of Community Service workers if needed.
Assists staff to create and manage outreach efforts at special events, trade shows, and other educational meetings, including informational booth, displays and other related materials.
Maintains up-to-date website information for KDB in text and graphics.
Manages KDB social media presence.
Designs, orders, and maintains inventory levels of education and promotional products
Works with Executive Director on environmental education and implementation programs.
Assists with writing grants and award applications.
Represents KDB in various professional organizations, and external or internal committees as assigned.
Assists Executive Director with budget development for marketing and outreach programs.
Communicates effectively to diverse audiences and seeks creative and up-to-date methods for reaching all potential populations affected by KDB programs.
Exhibits leadership, initiative, and creativity in execution of individual projects and building partnerships with team members, external contacts, and internal departments to support integrated public education and marketing communications efforts.
Displays an ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and consistent ability to meet deadlines.
Drives to other City facilities, citizen meetings and special events as needed

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or business management; one (1) to two (2) years of experience in customer service, public speaking, or training; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Experience planning and implementing beautification or public relations projects desired. Must be technically savvy, especially with social networking, design and database software.

REQUIRED SKILLS
The ideal candidate will possess most, if not all the following qualities, skills, and characteristics:
2 years of professional experience in fundraising, direct marketing, or grassroots organizing.
Mission alignment: An understanding of or willingness to understand farm animal welfare issues.
Communication: Solid ability to communicate persuasively verbally and in writing. Exceptional listening and social skills, including curiosity, appreciation, and diplomacy. Comfortable making repeated thank-you calls.
Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute high-earning fundraising strategies based on data extrapolated from our donor relations database.
Interpersonal skills: A comfort and resilience in discussing financial matters, soliciting donations, and following up with supporters about financial giving. An ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The compensation range for this role is $65,493 - $80,047. At The Humane League, we believe in maintaining a fair and equitable work environment for all employees. Is the primary contact for third party vendors associated with surplus, in support of creative reuse.
Proactively engage with and serve as a resource to faculty and staff to integrate reuse and reduce education and practices into studio environment, as appropriate. Promote RISD’s reuse programs, goals, challenges, and accomplishments to a wide range of constituencies through personal contact, the website, discussions with students, faculty, and staff, and others. Liaise with campus partners; Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety, Dining Services, Student Affairs (clubs), Procurement and Center for Community Partnerships. Maintains and establishes new relationships with like-minded organizations within the Providence community to support programs that support art and design.
Oversee FLIPS collection promotion, communications and associated sales. Coordinates distribution of nonsale related items and donation programs associated with collection. Leads the FLIPS committee, coordinates volunteers, oversees schedule, marketing and arranging campus partner support needed. Tracks results of collection, sale and donations.
Hires, trains, schedules and manages a team of student staff that support re-use core enterprises. Assigns and follows up on daily work assignments. Facilitates professional development to ensure the team is up to date on all reuse and sustainable best practices.
Ensures that Re-use enterprises are responsive to customers’ wants and needs. Communicates with the team and community on a regular basis to ensure readiness to meet the needs of the RISD community.
