Our Business and Community Education department is looking for an Assistant II to join their team. The Business and Community Education department provides services to the community, students and businesses looking for short-term training, continuing education, workforce training, apprenticeships, customized business training and community resources.
As an Assistant II you are responsible for providing administrative support to the Business and Community Education department. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service as well as providing support for a variety of special projects, committees, functions, and activities. Additionally, you oversee student records, open enrollment registration, third-party billing, receive payments, and provide customer service and support for instructors and students.

Assists and directs students with class registration and payment.
Receives transcript and certificate requests, locates information, and sends to student, employer, or college.
Makes business travel arrangements for staff as needed.
Prepares classrooms for instructors, including setup and troubleshooting of equipment, preparation of supplies, and sanitization.
Creates certificates for public and contract training classes as needed.
Responsible for ordering and tracking equipment, office supplies, and maintaining check-in and check-out documentation as needed.
Works closely with Business Office on daily bank balancing.
Ensures operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; arranging for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Works closely with other areas of college that can include other campuses, departments, and the foundation office.
Creates and maintains paper and electronic databases and records.
Coordinates materials and refreshments for activities and meetings include arranging room setup.
Partners with third-party vendors and/or sponsors to assist students with registration, gathering payment information, and disseminating credential information.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works closely with confidential information by following college policies on cybersecurity.
Creates, maintains, and manages comprehensive records, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Assists with day-to-day administration of the assigned programs.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Observe safe work methods and utilize safety equipment related to work.
Diagnose and repair a wide variety of gasoline and diesel injection systems and engines; trucks and construction equipment; advanced electrical systems; computer systems and modules using DVOM, scan tools and lab scope; power transmission systems including clutches, standard transmissions, auto transmissions and differential units; front and rear axles, gears, bearings, universal joints and hydraulic units.
Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle air brakes, hydraulic systems and associated power take-off equipment, steering mechanisms, brakes and other controls; and inspect and replace broken or worn parts.
Install electrical and radio systems in vehicles as necessary. Modify systems as required. Maintain and repair solar charging systems.
Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, chop saws, plasma cutter, drill press, horizontal lathe, metal shear, press brake, tubing bender and tubing notcher. Load and unload trucks and equipment with a forklift.
Road test vehicles, drive trucks or equipment as required. Diagnose and perform electrical, hydraulic and other repairs in the field. Perform smog checks, smog related failure repairs, and certify vehicles.
Perform specialty repairs on Police and Fire equipment, minor repairs to engines and vehicle alignments. Use and perform minor maintenance on hand, power and shop tools and test equipment. The Civil Service Examination for this position will be a written exam conducted in-person at the City of Sparks' City Hall Building, located at 431 Prater Way, Sparks, NV on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Diagnose, repair, clean, adjust and install fuel, ignition, electrical and cooling systems involving repair and replacement of parts such as carburetors, fuel pumps, starter motors, distributors, generators, voltage regulators, wiring, switches, batteries, radiators, thermostats, and water pumps. Observe safe work methods and utilize safety equipment related to work.
Diagnose and repair a wide variety of gasoline and diesel injection systems and engines; trucks and construction equipment; advanced electrical systems; computer systems and modules using DVOM, scan tools and lab scope; power transmission systems including clutches, standard transmissions, auto transmissions and differential units; front and rear axles, gears, bearings, universal joints and hydraulic units.
Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle air brakes, hydraulic systems and associated power take-off equipment, steering mechanisms, brakes and other controls; and inspect and replace broken or worn parts.
Install electrical and radio systems in vehicles as necessary. Modify systems as required. Maintain and repair solar charging systems.
Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, chop saws, plasma cutter, drill press, horizontal lathe, metal shear, press brake, tubing bender and tubing notcher. Load and unload trucks and equipment with a forklift.
Road test vehicles, drive trucks or equipment as required. Diagnose and perform electrical, hydraulic and other repairs in the field. Perform smog checks, smog related failure repairs, and certify vehicles.
Perform specialty repairs on Police and Fire equipment, minor repairs to engines and vehicle alignments. Use and perform minor maintenance on hand, power and shop tools and test equipment. Job Summary
The Clark County Geographic Information Services (GIS) division has a current opening for a GIS Technician. The position may be filled at the GIS Technician II or GIS Technician III level, depending on the qualifications and experience level of the candidate selected. The GIS Technician is responsible for the production and maintenance of Clark County’s GIS data, map products, and web mapping applications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for responding to internal and external customer inquiries for GIS products, services, or technical support. Technical proficiency, creativity, productivity, and strong collaboration and task management skills are key traits for success in this role. This position reports directly to the GIS Manager. The GIS Technician will work alongside other GIS staff to plan and carry out work independently. Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Support Service Worker for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to perform routine, repetitive unskilled manual tasks associated with support services on an assigned shift, including exterior building and campus clean-up including lawn care and snow removal, dietary tasks including meal preparation, distribution and clean-up, laundry tasks, housekeeping, and clothing services. Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Support Service Worker for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to perform routine, repetitive unskilled manual tasks associated with support services on an assigned shift, including exterior building and campus clean-up including lawn care and snow removal, dietary tasks including meal preparation, distribution and clean-up, laundry tasks, housekeeping, and clothing services. Uses and performs simple maintenance on standard equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with Public Health standards, facility and department policies and procedures. Completes simple clerical tasks including completing work orders, supply orders and routine logs and reports.
Job Responsibilities
Performs routine, repetitive unskilled manual tasks associated with support services at Shapiro Center, including exterior building and campus clean-up on an assigned shift.
Uses and performs simple maintenance on standard equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with Public Health standards, facility and department policies and procedures.
Completes simple clerical tasks including completing work orders, supply orders and routine logs and reports.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of High School supplemented by six (6) months experience in the support service functional area to which assigned.

The Financial Aid Specialist works in a campus office to provide guidance and information about financial aid to current and prospective students and parents at Eastern Florida State College. Duties
What makes this role unique? In addition to a wide variety of HR generalist functions, you will serve as the subject matter expert and HR lead in Reasonable Accommodation, focusing on applying process improvement principles and methodologies to the reasonable accommodation process. You will develop and update supervisor and employee resources related to accommodations. This position is not transaction-focused, rather the focus is on consulting, creating, and improving. What you will do:
Work with team mates to ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Respect (DEIR) is integrated into position descriptions and the hiring process. We are working to ensure unnecessary barriers do not exist when seeking employment with Ecology, including updating our required minimum qualifications to account for alternative ways to be qualified, instead of always relying upon degrees, wherever possible.
Collaborate with assigned programs to identify workforce issues and be empowered to help resolve them. Become an expert in human resource management, and employee and labor relations; be the strategic partner and advocate to the executives, managers, and supervisors in assigned programs for workforce planning, employee performance management, labor relations, and all other human resource management and personnel functions.
Provide accurate and research-based guidance on performance management, labor relations, and disciplinary processes to Ecology managers and supervisors so that actions align with Just Cause principles and stand up through the scrutiny of grievances and arbitrations.
Work collaboratively to support the goals of the programs/offices and the mission of the agency by strategically partnering with program staff to manage issues related to Classification and Compensation in assigned programs. Provide expertise and consultation on job classifications, compensation and workforce planning. Analyze position descriptions and make allocation determinations. Represent agency in classification appeals and coordinate preparation. Perform FLSA designation review and determinations. Serve as a member of the agency WMS Banding Committee and ITPS Evaluation Committee.
Consult with employees and supervisors and provide assistance regarding state and federal employment laws, civil service rules, collective bargaining agreements, agency policies, career development opportunities, classification and pay and other issues. Investigate and analyze problems having broad potential impact, make recommendations, provide options, or suggest necessary actions on matters.

Beginning with nurse home visits that occur during pregnancy and continue until the child is age two, Nurse Home Visitors provide coaching and care to first-time expectant clients. Beginning with nurse home visits that occur during pregnancy and continue until the child is age two, Nurse Home Visitors provide coaching and care to first-time expectant clients. The nurse develops therapeutic relationships and utilizes concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing with parents and their families in a home visiting environment modeling client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. The Nurse Home Visitor maintains the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, as well as to policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP and of the lead agency, Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. The Nurse Home Visitor will be on a team that includes other Nurse Home Visitors and a Nurse Supervisor.
