Position Summary:
KIND seeks a Senior Social Services Coordinator to serve alongside the Social Services Management team. Senior Social Services Coordinators provide therapeutic support to high-risk cases, clinical consultations, and contribute to the design and implementation of trauma informed outreach and training within KIND and to external partners.
Essential Functions:
Supports the development of programmatic framework for Social Services including metrics, logic models, and narratives, for grant applications and reports.
Supports fundraising and development efforts, as well as grant reporting for the Social Services team.
Provides consultation on high risk and vulnerable cases across KIND offices.
Creates, updates, and implements ethical policies, procedures, and guidelines to be implemented across all field offices and compiled in an updated Social Services Handbook.
Creates, updates, and implements guidelines for the Social Services team in an interdisciplinary model pertaining to attorney-client and work-product privilege, federal and state confidentiality, and mandatory reporting laws.
Creates and implements guidelines on working with unaccompanied children working with pro bono volunteer attorneys with a focus on trauma informed care.

Provides technical assistance and expertise to KIND staff and community partners with an emphasis on Trauma Informed interventions when working with UAC and refugee populations.
Works with community partners to coordinate services and collaborate in efforts; with emphasis on include language access, mental health supports and avoiding re-traumatization.
Assists with trainings and presentations.
Represent KIND at local coalitions, courts, and agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Graduate degree in social work or related field or 6 years of work experience, combined with Undergraduate degree in social work or related field, in lieu of advanced degree.
Depending on location- at least 2 years of experience working with Tender Age children, foster care, at risk youth.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services or non-profit organizations; community organizing, or grassroots and partnership development experience preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel (including formula function), and Teams; competence with technology-related items including audio-video set-up and execution.

Project Management & Administrative Support (35% time):
Provide general administrative support for the Individual Philanthropy team such as scheduling meetings, meeting preparation and follow-up, taking meeting notes, ordering office and IT supplies, arranging group travel, and other administrative tasks as needed
Process contracts, work orders, expense reports, and invoices to support the team’s various stewardship activities, including events, mailings, and digital outreach
Plan yearly mailing supply schedules, monitor office stocks, and place regular orders to fulfill in-house mailing needs
Follow fundraising support processes and contribute to the maintenance of the Individual Team Fundraising best practices manual
Budgeting and Financial Management (15% time):

What will you need:
Education: You have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience: You have 2+ years of experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Asana, and Salesforce CRM.
Experience working in a development operation or prior fundraising experience preferred, but not required. Ability to track and monitor project progress, expenses, budgets, deadlines and project deliverables
Experience and comfort working independently, with attention to detail, and managing multiple priorities.
Languages: Proficiency in verbal and written English.

Potential Salary:
The salary range for this position is 57,000 USD - 64,000 USD if filled by a candidate located and legally able to work in the US. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.

A significant portion of your time will be spent drafting and managing materials generation for policymakers, our online audience, and field organizers, and facilitating communication and information sharing for NWF affiliates seeking background and dialogue on policy issues. Another significant portion of your time will be spent helping manage workflow on domestic advocacy activities. You will also serve as an NWF representative in occasional coalition and policymaker meetings. You will report directly to the Director of Climate and Energy Policy in the National Advocacy Center in DC.
In this role you will:
Research, write, and edit content for factsheets, blogs and talking points on climate change, clean energy, climate equity, and wildlife, and help manage materials generation and review by other team members. Take initiative to launch new research and writing projects as needed.
Help conceptualize and design infographics and contribute to data mapping tools.
Manage team contracts and other agreements, and assist in tracking and updating team budgets and fundraising workflow.
Track team advocacy activities to ensure tactics are completed. Recommend additional advocacy engagement regarding policy, scientific, or other climate and energy issue area developments.
Draft social media and alert team to opportunities for digital communication; work with digital team to update web content.
Track key legislation and hearings, providing summaries for the team. On occasion, draft hill communications such as letters and email blasts, and assist the Policy Director and Senior Government Relations Director by performing direct congressional outreach.
Create an NWF internal newsletter on climate program activities and manage content for monthly circulation.
Represent NWF with some partners, including attending coalition meetings and engaging NWF affiliates.
Qualifications:
You should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. A Master’s or other advanced degree in environmental policy, government, political science, or environmental economics can count towards relevant experience. Ideally, you will have familiarity with the U.S. political system and have issue advocacy experience, and be skilled at synthesizing and communicating information for policy or advocacy audiences in a compelling and accurate manner. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic team and also independently, and be a go-getter with initiative to get things done.

Travel Requirements:
Once travel restrictions are lifted, there will be minimal travel expected for this position (around 2-3 times per year).

The salary range for this position is currently $45,000 to $50,000 annually.
