GMD Systems Test Operator (#1672547)

PeopleTec is currently seeking a GMD Systems Test Operator to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Tester to perform Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) hardware and software integration and testing in a government-operated, engineering and integration lab facility. The selected candidate will support integration, checkout and test operations for a variety of engineering studies operating GMD systems in a true Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) architecture. Candidates will be expected to understand one or more tactical elements, growing to become the in-house Subject Matter Experts, developing processes and improvements to test methods, and then cross-training with other systems to grow the team's capability through greater systems understanding. They will work within a configuration-managed test and operational environment. All team members also perform other operational responsibilities such as documentation support, equipment moves and adjustments, lab upkeep and general administrative tasks. System Administration experience and certifications are not required but are highly desirable. Selected applicants will work with a team of experienced integrators, operators and systems administrators and will have the opportunity to cross train on a variety of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems and digital Models and Simulations used to support specialty engineering studies for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Required Skills/Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in HWIL systems under test, following both learned and scripted procedures
• Documentation and capture of test results for report generation
• Test background with experience in following software test plans, test procedures and generating test reports; experience developing test plans is highly desirable.
• Assist in the integration and checkout of new systems once they have been installed.
• Assist test team with system troubleshooting and anomaly investigation
• Comply with configuration management process, and comply with data management procedures, including post processing steps, data naming conventions and archival
• Experience with UNIX/Linux command line operations
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

BS degree in a Engineering, Computer Science, or Technical Field with 3 years of relevant work experience is required

Desired Skills:

- Technical understanding of the BMDS and GMD Systems
- Integration or operational experience with: GFC, VIDT, LMS, GMDSim or OSF
- Systems Administration experience with tactical systems
- CompTIA Security+ & Computing Environment Certifications
