Individuals selected for this position must be reliable and possess a good work ethic. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, work standing up for extended periods of time. Worker performs general production work and may rotate between stations.
Are you good at:
- Assist with unloading glass from seaming line, sorting and handling glass products •
Responsible for start-up and shut down of equipment
- Makes sure the workstation is clean and free of debris
- Cleans Equipment as needed
- Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards
- Sorts product onto specified racks
Job Description
- Handling, measuring, moving and lifting of glass for cutting, finishing and/or loading • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using other equipment throughout the warehouse as directed by management. • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. • Load all route vehicles in accordance with load sheets • Sort materials before loading and unloading. • Ensure damaged product is placed in its proper area and reported to management • Attach identifying tags to product or mark them with identifying information. • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. • Adjust or replace equipment parts, such as rollers, belts, plugs, or caps, using hand tools.
