Our team is growing to meet this need by hiring a Manager of Internal Communications to develop and implement a communications plan to raise staff awareness of our global conservation strategy and its strong science foundation among 4000 colleagues worldwide. This position reports to the Director, Internal Communications, in the Global Marketing and Communications Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Manager will support internal communications priorities of our conservation leaders that are directed to the all-staff audience and work closely with the Chief Conservation Office and the field to ensure that all staff know what our goals are, how to talk about them and how their role makes a contribution. The Manager will highlight conservation successes and science, share inspiring stories of our people and places, and create opportunities for diverse staff voices to speak about our work in internal channels. Working with the Chief Conservation Office and Conservation team other key stakeholders such as our scientists, the Manager will design all-staff outreach strategies around major events, milestones and announcements, and create guidance, tools and resources that support staff. The role will help manage strategy for the distribution of important information to staff in a timely manner, ensuring that messages are consistent and promoted across all internal channels. The Manager can see the big picture while keeping track of the details and can make complex information relatable, understandable and inspiring.
