JOB PURPOSE
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment while transporting material and is also responsible for the pre equipment inspection. The position may require manual loading and unloading of material with or without a pallet jack. May be required to assist in other departments (i.e. shipping and inventory) as the business needs dictate.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Moves, controls, devices to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas.
Organizes and secures materials where balance sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
Performs routine pre inspection on equipment to ensure its working properly.
Manually loads or unloads material from pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
Receives inventory when required, responsible for receipt of daily inbound and return items.
This position also requires count accuracy of items to ensure all items are received or returned are in satisfactory condition.
Consults with and works with managers, supervisors, employees, and vendors to coordinate loading and unloading operations.
Compiles and maintains quantity, type, and value of material, merchandise, or supplies stocked in inventory.
Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory manually or using computer.
Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have skill to anticipate, locate and correct general and emergency problems as related to building lock and door hardware systems. A working knowledge of high security keying systems such as Medeco Biaxial and Schlage Everest Primus is preferred. Must have basic computer skills with ability to learn e-mail and maintenance work order systems. Must have the ability to comprehend blueprints and door hardware specifications. Must have knowledge of and ability to use key cutting equipment and other tools, equipment, materials and supplies related to the locksmith trade. Position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge and experience in using e-mail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have skill to anticipate, locate and correct general and emergency problems as related to building lock and door hardware systems. A working knowledge of high security keying systems such as Medeco Biaxial and Schlage Everest Primus is preferred. Must have basic computer skills with ability to learn e-mail and maintenance work order systems. Must have the ability to comprehend blueprints and door hardware specifications. Must have knowledge of and ability to use key cutting equipment and other tools, equipment, materials and supplies related to the locksmith trade. Position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge and experience in using e-mail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred. Experience in utilizing on-line work order systems is a plus. Skill with electronic devices such as iPhone and iPad is preferred. Must be able to follow oral & written instructions. All employees at the College are expected to perform their jobs in a safe manner in accordance with best safety practices as prescribed by their department, the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration training as provided by Facilities Management at the College of Charleston.

Must be able to perform duties as described and work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Must be able to work in close quarters, climb ladders/stairs, enter/exit hatches, & work on rooftops. Must be able to work in areas of excessive heat/cold and lift or move furniture, objects, heavy components, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Overtime & call back work is required after normal working hours & on weekends as needed. May be required to be on campus prior to & immediately following all emergencies such as hurricanes, floods, snow/ice storms, etc.

1. Responsible for the repair and replacement of locks, door closers and various hardware for locking systems. Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and installs locks/locking systems as appropriate. Performs tasks required from work orders, building inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintains safety/security and integrity of all facilities. Maintains lock and key security and uniformity, including implementation of system changes, making, controlling and issuing keys and repairing and/or replacing locks and door hardware as required. Communicates with supervisor and facilities staff to determine scope of contracted repair and/or maintenance work. Performs locksmith duties throughout the college campus and in various college buildings, dormitories, historic homes, office buildings and large facilities. Responds to assigned work orders with a sense of urgency and ensures appropriate and timely resolution. Operates mobile electronic device to access, update, and complete work orders to include all appropriate information to reflect action taken, labor hours, parts, materials and other historical and cost related items.

Direct the maintenance and repair of buildings, labs, offices, and grounds. Assist with the management of fleet operations for the Region and may support fleet and transportation inventory. The Librarian/Assistant Manager promotes program attendance, increase visits to the library and promote circulation of the Library’s materials and e-services.
This position reports to the Branch Manager and works as second in charge to manage daily operations at the Branch Library. The position also works closely with outside organizations and contractors to deliver programs and build partnerships. The position provides excellent customer service demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with people regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, ability level or background.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes facilitated Customer Service by proactively approaching customers to offer assistance. Assists customers with finding library materials and provides information to broaden their awareness of library resources and services.
For youth focus will present story times, outreach programs to schools, and coordinates library reading programs and other programs for children; provides outreach services to schools and daycares.

Provide coaching, direction and assistance to all functions and all levels of the site organization. Be responsible for operational planning for the site. Conduct Property Coordinator Meetings and Training to Staff, Sub-Tier Staff and Cross Functional Groups supporting Asset Tracking as Property Custodians. Establish unit objectives, work plans, schedules, and ensure resources are available for completion of established requirements and assignments. Provide oversight to overall risk mitigation and compliance integrity. Develop and ensure execution of corrective action plans. Develop and prepare metrics and related reports using Visual Management techniques and analyze metric data to enhance current processes. Act with authority delegated from site leader with parties within own function and all functions within the site. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of directly related experience. A High School Diploma or equivalent and an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Current Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) from the National Property Management Association or willingness and the ability to obtain one within a year of hire. Compensation: $100K - $110K

Job Functions: • Manage and direct all aspects of the Firm’s legal assistants, paralegals and centralized support services staff. • Analyze and recommend appropriate staffing models to ensure the highest level of service to the Firm in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible. • Oversee and partner with the Legal Assistant Leads thus ensuring an even distribution of workflow. • Provide employee relations counsel to management and employees. Facilitate problem resolution, offer performance improvement counsel and implementation of performance improvement plans. • Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the Firm. • Assist the Managing Director of HR in aligning HR strategy with business strategy for Firm. • Manage and conduct the annual performance evaluation process for all support services staff. • Recommend changes to staff compensation based on performance levels and sound market data. • Plan, implement and administer an effective staffing and recruiting program. Counsel management on candidate selection. • Prepare and analyze headcount and overtime reports. • Analyze training needs for all business professional staff. Develop and implement training plans to meet Firm needs. • Analyze HR operations and recommend improvements in systems and process. • Update and maintain employee guidelines to reflect changing Firm policies and applicable employment laws. • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resources federal and state requirements. • File, audit, maintain and retain records in accordance with federal and state regulatory requirements, including, EEO and OSHA reporting and record keeping. • Participate in special projects on an as needed basis.
