Software Developer (#1928966*)

PeopleTec is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location. The ideal candidate will support research for our US Army and federal customers with cutting edge cybersecurity and data visualization technologies, projects, and products.

Duties Include:

Improve network architectures, cyber testing of mission systems in a laboratory / range environment, and enhanced tuning of cyber defensive operations tools

Support offensive and defensive best practices using cyberbots and digital twins for more resilient network topologies

Support evaluations of the effectiveness of adversarial models used to attack existing machine learning algorithms

Assists in evaluation of system designs and use all-source information to verify/validate system models

Translates systems and capabilities into models allowing evaluation of those capabilities

Candidate will develop simulation software for research and development programs

Required Skills / Experience:

3 years' experience in Python

Experience with machine learning design, development, and testing

Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on applying reinforcement learning for game-based cyber examples

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams

Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques

Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and works well in a team environment

Ability to formulate concrete analysis problems from imprecise need statements

Ability to work with others to conceptualize and solve problems

Strong math and numerical analysis background

Travel: Up to 10 % during safe travel conditions

Must be a U.S. Citizen

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field with 5 years of work experience or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field with 3 years of work experience.

Desired Skills:

Experience presenting solutions to customers verbally or communicating solutions effectively to high-level audiences

Experience with validated nation-state attack sequences against improved network architectures

Familiar with log file analyzers and visualization tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK), both on premises and in the cloud

Familiar with statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) that manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

Knowledge of STK and MATLAB
