What you will do:

As a Technical Services Lead, you will provide a broad range of engineering technical expertise and coordination within the Park Development Program including; leading coordination of Facilities Investment Program; providing technical support to Park Development staff, Region staff and other OPRD staff; and Coordinating and facilitating work of Construction Project Managers.

 

In this role, you will evaluate and establish standard procedures for implementing project scoping, budgeting, design and construction project management for the Park Development Program and assist with the monitoring, evaluating and reporting on accomplishments.

 

Additionally, you will serve as the Senior Worker for the Park Development Program and will hold a State of Oregon engineering stamp. You will also train, plan, direct, and review the work of other engineering professionals and technicians.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

(a) A Bachelor's degree in either Civil, Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Engineering, or Energy Management Engineering; AND
Four (4) years of engineering experience.

What we are looking for (Desired Attributes):

  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional and interdisciplinary engineering teams to develop facility improvements.
  • Experience reviewing, recommending, developing and implementing planning improvements and enhancements resulting in the enhancement of the Facility Investment Program related to budget, scope, scheduling, design and construction project management.
  • Ability to ensure that project budgets are accurate and within established guidelines using up to date estimating techniques.
  • Experience leading teams of lower level professional and technical staff, providing technical advice, assisting in orientation and training and reviewing their work for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Experience identifying and aligning project goals and objectives based upon agency strategic plans.
  • Experience providing leadership to implement departmental strategic and long-range goals and objectives.
  • Ability to understand and recommend appropriate action for complex projects affecting natural, cultural and historic resources.
  • Experience developing and maintaining positive working relations with members of the agency.
  • Specialized engineering experience related to parks facilities.
  • Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
