Position Title : Development Director

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Development Director to implement our development plan. This is a key role in helping to grow the organization. The successful candidate will be analytical and creative, collaborate well with a passionate and fun staff, and coordinate and manage multiple projects. Essential Functions: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development Director (DD) will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, evaluation, integration, and administration development department. The DD will lead a team of development professionals in achieving the organization’s revenue goals, increasing income, and educating and engaging more individuals and institutions in the to advance the organization’s mission. The DD will be part of a skilled team of professionals working to raise at least $5 million annually. The DD manages a multi-faceted fundraising program; central to this role will be prioritizing personal solicitation of major donors, events, online and direct marketing, and foundation fundraising.
Duties:
Work closely with the Development Team to establish fundraising goals, set strategic priorities, advise on program development, and develop and meet annual budget
Manage and build a growing team of development professionals, provide on-going guidance, direction, and motivation, hire team members and provide oversight to consultants as needed, delegate appropriately and ensure strong internal communication and coordination, and evaluate performance and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth
Work closely with the Boards of Directors to engage them more deeply in the fundraising process and to help cultivate a strong relationship between board members and the organization
Help track cultivation and prospecting activity and ensure the execution of action items
Solicit contributions from major individual donors and steward long-term relationships with donors
Develop relationships with prospective individual and foundation donors to increase funding
Research prospective institutional and individual funders
Work with internal partners to draft and edit proposals and reports
Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensure that all submitted materials are accurate and comply with any funder requirements
Manage all grant activity in a central database and deliver regular reports to the Executive Director
Serve as the point person for management and maintenance of funders database and ensure efficient system utilization across all units
Oversee the implementation of ongoing programs to improve the renewal rates of existing annual donors, creatively use events to upgrade donors and maintain a diversity of revenue
Work with the VP of Operations to develop annual budgets and income projections
Stay abreast of political and philanthropic trends and ensure that Board and staff are informed of changes in legislation and other trends and initiatives that might impact giving
Competencies:

Position Overview
America Votes is seeking a talented staff or project manager and mid-senior campaign strategist for a full-time position as Ohio Deputy State Director. The Deputy State Director will take a strategic, collaborative, and flexible approach to their work with the state coalition and the coordination of strategies between state based partner organizations and national partners. The position will have responsibility in supporting the scale-up, direct support, and coordination of canvass operations. They will work with the America Votes team in Ohio and will support advancing team priorities and goals, with direct management responsibilities. Facilitate ongoing conversations and collective actionable steps toward equity in the work of the coalition and partner members.
Coalition Coordination: Plan and facilitate regular coalition meetings for organizations to create and share plans as well as progress toward goals; identify problems and new opportunities toward winning elections and advancing advocacy goals. Directly manage and provide leadership in the state with the development, implementation, and analysis of state campaign plans, with an emphasis on direct voter contact programs. Compensation

The Data Director plays a key role in the supporting campaign strategy and direct voter contact programs for the progressive movement. Responsibilities

Voter File Management and Maintenance: Manage voter file access for AV partner organizations and their consultants. This includes administration and security, training end-users, and providing technical assistance as needed. Qualifications Required

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a Data and Program Manager for a full-time, 2024-cycle position in the following states: AZ, FL, CO, GA, MN, NH, NV, OH, PA. The Data and Program Manager plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement in the state, including supporting the growth, strategy, and effectiveness of coalition direct voter contact programs through issue and election activity. This person will be the keeper and coordinator of some of the most exciting progressive work in the state. This position is ideal for someone who has entry level campaign experience and is eager to learn more, has a passion for helping others do their best work, and is excited about the details and tools that power direct voter contact programs. The position works directly with the America Votes team, as well as dozens of progressive partners across the state.
The Program and Data Manager will be responsible for supporting partner organizations running program in the state including field operations, integrating best practices, and using voter contact tools like VAN, Get Thru and Scale to Win. The position ends December 31, 2024.

Responsibilities
Project Support and Management: Support coalition programs of America Votes primarily focused on direct voter contact. Program areas might include campus programs, ballot initiatives, tactic-specific programs (canvass, phone, relational programs, etc), down ballot focused programs (congressional, state level or local races, etc), Get Out the Vote programs, and other state-specific campaign projects.
Partner Support : Support coalition partners through the implementation of campaign plans (electoral, voting rights). This may include providing technical and organizing assistance for individual partner organizations or groups of partners , responding to programmatic requests, and supporting the implementation of winning strategies. Work with the state data director to support data needs of partner programs, including some VAN administration responsibilities. Portfolio may include some tools support including VAN, AV housed/created coordination tools, direct voter contact tools, and some grant management.
Support Coalition Management : Work with the state team on tracking and coordination tools to support the implementation of the America Votes program across tactics and partners. Support and create content for reports and deliver presentations to diverse sets of stakeholders, sometimes on short timelines. This work may include some coalition administration tasks like scheduling, coordinating communication to coalition partners, and supporting in person meetings and events.
Direct Voter Contact Program Support : Support coalition campaign work on field tactics implementation (like canvassing), including supporting the integration of best practices. Support electoral and advocacy program implementation across partner organizations including script development and support some partners in using VAN (Voter Activation Network). This work may include developing systems or updating existing systems to manage the information, advance training, and strengthen the integration of best practices in the work. This work may include voting rights and election administration.
Program Implementation Support : Support meetings of coalition partners, which may include work groups on election-related topics such as campus programs, ballot initiatives, down ballot programs (congressional, state legislative, etc). Support events of America Votes partners and allies including coalition meetings and trainings, canvassing events, phone banks, and other direct voter contact events. Support program implementation through program participation, basic VAN administration, supporting program training and debrief activities, and support in using direct voter contact tools.

Qualifications
Required
Ideal candidates will have at least 1 cycle of experience in progressive political campaigns, progressive non-profits or similar organizations (with a campaign focus), or similar transferable experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct voter contact and canvass operations.
Experience working with underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities, particularly in electoral or political settings.
Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and moving forward after setbacks. Demonstrated a bility to move people to action and hold them accountable with and without formal authority.
Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or similar systems is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to be able to practice confidentiality, discretion and legal compliance in the work.
Familiarity with early vote, vote by mail, and voter mobilization programs. Familiarity with young voter programs including campus organizing models is a plus. Understanding of common voter contact methods like canvass, mail, and phone programs and applying those to persuasion and mobilization efforts, including early vote. Understanding of digital programs, relational programs, or broadcast programs a plus
Ability to work independently and to drive and manage own workload; ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively by making and meeting team goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Drive with emphasis on using Excel, Powerpoint, Google Slides and Google Sheets. Must have the ability to manage a high volume of campaign data as well as create informational decks/slideshows.
Ability to travel within the state (as needed); ability to work irregular campaign style hours, especially during the peak months of the electoral cycle. Attend and lead meetings in person one-on-one, in small groups, and in large coalition meeting settings.
Candidates should have a spirit of service and curiosity, along with a diplomatic approach to problem-solving in work with outside partners and while working independently or on a team.
Preferred
Ideal candidates will have experience with data and targeting, using data to inform organizing and electoral campaign strategies. Familiarity with integrating research and best practices into a program is a plus.
Familiarity with digital tools.
High level of competency with google sheets and manipulating a large volume of data
Experience or training in race equity/anti-racist frameworks; a general understanding of how power. intersects with gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and class in organizing and electoral settings.
Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 ($5,000-5,833/month) with a potential election year bonus, based on performance and the state's election landscape.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development & Grants Assistant serves as the backbone of department operations by ensuring all administrative processes are in place to execute the department's work. Position Overview
The Executive Director is the Association’s executive staff administrator and management agent who leads the staff, in coordination with the KNEA President, to ensure the implementation of the full scope of policies, procedures, and programs approved and adopted by the KNEA Board of Directors. Position Overview
The Executive Director is the Association’s executive staff administrator and management agent who leads the staff, in coordination with the KNEA President, to ensure the implementation of the full scope of policies, procedures, and programs approved and adopted by the KNEA Board of Directors. In collaboration with the President and Officers, the Executive Director develops and manages an Operational Plan and an annual Operational Budget and is accountable to the Board for the long-term financial and fiscal health and sustainability of the Association.
Candidates should possess high emotional intelligence, excellent judgment, and creativity, with a proven record of strategic leadership, which includes formulating objectives and priorities and implementing the long-term interests of KNEA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Institutional Leadership - lead with vision, adaptability, creativity, and integrity to execute the policies of the KNEA Board of Directors.
Corporate Management - advise and facilitate the development of the KNEA Operational Plan, Operational Budget, administer and monitor the budget, ensure the fiscal health of the Association, oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, evaluate and manage risk, and ensure the proper management of all property owned and leased by the Association as KNEA pursues its mission and vision.
Public Education Advocacy – champion public education in Kansas, including building collaborative relationships between KNEA and external stakeholders to shape the highest professional standards for education policy.
Organizing – foster an organizing culture that grows the Association while advancing the interests of Kansas’s students and educators.
Staff Relations – as executive of staff, provide leadership for staff commitment to the Association’s mission, vision, and strategic plan; ensure compliance with KNEA’s policies; prioritize and assign staff resources to programs and projects as necessary; coordinate, direct, and evaluate the work of KNEA’s employees while fostering a collegial relationship; build effective relationships with management and the staff unions; and successfully support management and staff to ensure the highest quality work on behalf of KNEA’s members.

Position Description
America Votes is seeking a well-organized self-starter for a full-time position as the Arizona Program Manager. The Arizona Program Manager plays a key role in the advancement of the progressive movement and winning elections in the state. This person will support the America Votes team in Arizona with information gathering and partner coordination on some of the most exciting progressive electoral and issue work taking place in the state. The position works directly with the America Votes team, as well as dozens of progressive partners across the state, in the planning and execution of electoral and advocacy campaigns, the coordination of field programs, and the utilization of best practices to ensure quality plans and maximize our collective efforts. This position is ideal for someone who has some work experience in direct voter contact, is eager to learn, and has a passion for helping others do their best work, loves canvass programs, and is excited about the details and tools that power direct voter contact programs.
Location
This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona and will require travel around the state.
Responsibilities
Project Management: Support the state team in implementing America Votes' organizational goals, including REI goals. Participate in team creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success. Support special projects to deliver on team goals.
Partner Support : Support coalition partners through the development of campaign plans (electoral, voting rights and issue campaigns). This may include providing technical and organizing assistance for individual partner organizations or groups of partners , responding to programmatic requests, and supporting the implementation of winning strategies. This work may include providing logistical support to coalition meetings, supporting core areas of the coalition coordination, supporting strategic conversations around winning strategies, and/or supporting work groups. Maintaining external communications with partners (i.e. may include weekly emails) and workgroup listservs, meeting follow-up, regular phone calls, etc. Support and create content for reports and deliver presentations to diverse sets of stakeholders, sometimes on short timelines.
Direct Voter Contact Program Support : Support coalition campaign work on field tactics implementation (like canvassing), including supporting the integration of best practices and universe coverage. Facilitate creative solutions to challenges related to electoral and issue campaigns. Support electoral and advocacy program implementation across partner organizations including script development and program timing and support some partners in using VAN (Voter Activation Network). Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in progressive political campaigns, progressive non-profits or similar organizations (with a campaign focus), or similar transferable experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct voter contact and canvass operations.
Experience working with underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities, particularly in electoral or political settings.
Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and moving forward after setbacks. Demonstrated a bility to move people to action and hold them accountable with and without formal authority.
At least one cycle (minimum of 12 months) of experience with campaign field operations including canvass operations and script writing. Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or similar systems.
Demonstrated ability to build consensus, negotiate, and strategically disagree within a highly collaborative work environment; ability to be respected by progressive stakeholders, and to be able to practice confidentiality, discretion and legal compliance in the work.

About KIND:
Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is a global leader in the protection of unaccompanied refugee and migrant children. Launched in 2008, KIND champions a world in which every child’s rights and well-being are protected throughout their journey to safety. KIND has accepted over 23,000 referrals of children seeking legal representation in their immigration proceedings. KIND has welcomed more than 41,000 attendees to trainings since its founding, cultivating partnerships with over 670 law firms, corporate legal departments, law schools, and bar associations across the country.
KIND’s social services program ensures that migrant and refugee children – who have often endured trauma – receive counseling, educational support, medical care, and other comprehensive services.
To address the root causes of child migration from Central America, and strengthen the protection of unaccompanied children, KIND advocates for policy changes and educates lawmakers, the media, and the broader public on the conditions that drive these children to flee their home countries. KIND supports children returning to their home countries by connecting them to essential support services and sponsors gender-based violence prevention programs in Central America to protect children in countries of origin and transit.
KIND is also building upon its expertise in the protection of unaccompanied children to encourage the development of pro bono initiatives across Europe in partnership with European NGOs.
Position Summary:
KIND seeks a Senior Attorney to provide senior-level expertise and leadership in the provision of legal services by KIND attorneys and pro bono partners to unaccompanied children facing removal proceedings. Serve as a thoughtful leader and expert advisor on complex and novel legal issues for internal and external stakeholders. As needed, supervise Staff Attorneys, Senior Paralegals, and other non-attorney staff. The Senior Attorney will report to the Supervising Attorney.
The temporary position is scheduled to commence February or March 2024 and will conclude August or September 2024.
Essential Functions:
Provide both mentoring to KIND pro bono attorneys and direct legal representation to KIND clients:
In the pro bono mentoring function, provide robust consultation and technical assistance to pro bono attorneys who have accepted a KIND case.
In the direct representation function, perform ordinary functions of legal counsel including legal research and formulating the legal strategy for the case; conducting client interviews; appearing before immigration and/or state courts or agencies, and drafting and filing court pleadings and applications for benefits.
Supervise staff attorneys, fellows, supervising paralegals, senior paralegals, or other non-attorney staff as needed, including:
Onboarding, legal skills training, and case technical assistance, daily support, and coaching conducting regular check-ins and performance evaluations, reviewing work products, case audits, and providing consistent and effective feedback and oversight to ensure high-quality legal work.
Place cases with pro bono attorneys, and provide ongoing expert mentoring, training, and technical assistance in individual and group settings.
Engage in outreach to foster and expand relationships with community stakeholders and pro bono partners including law firm and in-house corporate counsel; provide expert contribution and oversight in the development of guidance materials and samples.
Contribute to overall office functioning, including actively participating in the field office and KIND-wide calls and meetings, field office and KIND-wide committees, and providing leadership in-office events.
Oversee data management, ensuring data integrity through regular case audits, technical fluency with KIND’s case management systems, and oversight of data upkeep and accuracy by supervisees.
In coordination with KIND’s Training and Technical Assistance Team as well as the Senior Director for Pro Bono Partnerships, as needed, develop local training curriculum, including sample filings and guidance packets. Assist with development and conducting of local and national KIND training for both staff and external partners and stakeholders.
In collaboration with Legal Programs Management, and in coordination with other organizational departments such as Development and Finance, assist in developing and implementing grant and contract-funded programming, including monitoring performance against grant and contract commitments.
Collaborate with other KIND departments on specific projects and initiatives as needed, including KIND’s Policy, Advocacy, Communications, and Regional departments.
Represent KIND at local stakeholder meetings, trainings, conferences, and events.

This position will play a critical role in supporting and expanding our work on a broad range of projects that focus on health equity, leveraging collaborations and partnerships, and addressing the root causes of inequities, including structural racism and social determinants of health. The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional with training and technical assistance (T/TA) skills, works collaboratively on teams, and has a proven record of championing racial equity and social justice.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Program Manager, T/TA (PM) is primarily responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously that uses a health equity lens on expanding and improving access to care at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other community-based organizations nationally. This position will create materials and conduct trainings and webinars, facilitate group discussions, conduct research, develop publications, assist with grant writing, present at conferences, collaborate with external partners and work closely with their team on other projects. They will also manage interactions with clients for various fee-based services.
The PM reports to the Deputy Director( DD). The position is currently a hybrid of remote work and working in our downtown Oakland office, with at least two days/week working in the office with coworkers.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated experience that advances racial justice and health equity. Coherent analysis of the root causes of health inequities, structural racism and violence, and implicit biases and their impact on BIPOC communities
Extensive experience providing training, facilitation, consultation, and/or other capacity building support
Strong facilitation and public speaking skills with the ability to read the audience and think on one’s feet
At least 4 years of professional experience with program planning, implementation, and evaluation
Strong project management and organizational skills
Three years or more of experience in public health or a health-related field, to include health care administration, provision of health care or supportive services, outreach services, social work, or enabling services
Strong foundation in public health principles and methods
Experience working with under-resourced populations served by health centers, including BIPOC communities, farmworkers, individuals experiencing homelessness, immigrants, rural populations, low-income populations, older adults, and others
Experience in client management preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to flex communication style to multiple environments
Excellent writing skills for a variety of audiences
Demonstrated experience with curriculum development, adult learning, and/or empowerment education methodologies
Direct experience with community health centers highly preferred

Oregon Health Authority’s Health Systems Division (HSD) oversees the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Oregon’s innovative Medicaid program. OHP provides health care coverage to qualified Oregonians with the goal of meeting the “quintuple aim” of health equity, better health, better care, workforce care, and lower costs. Most OHP members receive oral, physical, behavioral health, health-related social needs services, and other services through Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), community-based networks of all types of health care providers that coordinate care for each of their members, or through the statewide fee-for-service (FFS), also known as “open card”, program. HSD also provides daily service to OHP members, prospective members, community partners, contracted health plans and providers. HSD’s policies, decisions, and actions affect benefits covered for OHP members, how people apply and qualify for medical assistance, and reimbursement of health care providers and plans.

What you will do!
Oregon Health Authority’s Health Systems Division (HSD) oversees the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Oregon’s innovative Medicaid program. OHP provides health care coverage to qualified Oregonians with the goal of meeting the “quintuple aim” of health equity, better health, better care, workforce care, and lower costs. Most OHP members receive oral, physical, behavioral health, health-related social needs services, and other services through Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), community-based networks of all types of health care providers that coordinate care for each of their members, or through the statewide fee-for-service (FFS), also known as “open card”, program. HSD also provides daily service to OHP members, prospective members, community partners, contracted health plans and providers. HSD’s policies, decisions, and actions affect benefits covered for OHP members, how people apply and qualify for medical assistance, and reimbursement of health care providers and plans.
The Dental Director works within the Health Systems Division as part of the Oregon Health Plan Medical Leadership Team, alongside the Medicaid Medical Director and the Behavioral Health Medical Director. The Dental Director also works collaboratively with the Oregon Health Authority’s Public Health Division and the Health Policy and Analytics Division.
The Dental Director leads the oral health activities and policies, for the Oregon Health Authority and in collaboration with oral health staff across the agency. This work requires compliance with federal and state laws, Oregon Administrative Rules, the principles of health equity, and standards for developing priorities and programs to meet the needs of Oregonians. The Dental Director will promote whole person health and health system integration through efforts of the OHP Medical Leadership team. In order to increase access to services and achieve the quintuple aim, the Dental Director must demonstrate experience with reducing health inequities, a high-level understanding and familiarity with the OHP dental program and a strong working knowledge of the overall dental and oral health care as well as public health infrastructure across the state of Oregon.
The Dental Director is a high-profile, public position accountable for all levels of state dental policy making and implementation of policy and program outcomes. The Dental Director is responsible and accountable for making decisions that change statewide oral health care practices, gathering national best practices and implementing best practices for the State of Oregon through legislative action, and determining policy and procedures for the Oregon Health Authority.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a licensed D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or D.M.D (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) in the State of Oregon in good standing.
