GOLF COURSE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT SUMMARY Deer Run Golf Club, was founded in 1971. It is an 18-hole course, partially surrounded by the beautiful Lake Tawakoni. It is one of the most scenic golf courses in Texas. It is just 51 miles East of downtown Dallas. The new management has significantly improved the golf course and it is now one of the fastest growing golf courses in the DFW area. This is a full-time, part-time or contract position with flexible scheduling. WORKING CONDITIONS Pleasant, peaceful and beautiful surroundings Flexible hours Free or discounted rounds of golf, food/beverages EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years of experience at a golf course. Ability to manage others Valid Driver’s License. Self-starter with the ability to follow-through and complete assignments in a timely manner. Strong work ethic. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establishes work schedules of subordinate personnel. Mows greens, tees, fairways, and rough Aerate and top dress as required Changes cups as needed Servicing all teeing ground stations on course to include: Moving markers Sand/seeding divots from prior day's play Removing broken tees Removing trash from receptacles Maintaining ball-washers water and soap Maintaining the appearance of the golf course: pick up tree limbs; manage traffic control signs, mulching leaves, maintain cart-paths, streets, and parking lot. Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis Maintain irrigation systems. Water greens, tee boxes, and fairways Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, chain-saws, and sod cutters Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge and brush trimmers Performs other duties as assigned or required.
