The Admissions Representative for Diverse Populations will primarily lead the recruitment and outreach activities that increase underrepresented populations at Hawkeye Community College. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, in presentations and one-on-one with students and parents.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations as well as various areas of the college and community (faculty, staff, students, and general public) in a professional and personable manner.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, maintain student confidence and protect operational integrity.
Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and high volume of work with deadlines.
Demonstrated strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.

Responsibilities
Our Admissions Associates are one of the first to interact with museum visitors and play an important role in providing an excellent customer service experience.
Associates will be performing a variety of tasks to include:
- Processing ticket orders.
- Selling general admission; docent tours; film, theater, and lecture tickets.
- Providing information about The Ringling and its programs.
- Efficient, accurate cash handling and ticket distribution.
- Assist with Events and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience handling cash quickly and accurately.
- Experience with Microsoft Office to include Excel and Outlook
- Ability to be trained/use web-based computer ticketing systems (Tessitura).
- Ability to serve and work with diverse populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (in person, over the phone, and via email).
- Ability to stand for up to longer periods of time, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Helpful
- Previous experience with Tessitura.
- Verbal fluency in additional language(s) besides to English.
- Ability to upsell and make helpful recommendations to visitors.
- Ability to handle stressful situation, like long lines of visitors, calmly and with a strong focus on customer service.
Anticipated Salary Range
$10.50 per hour.

Schedule
Primary working days are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday weekly and every other Wednesday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Approximately 28 hours per week. Weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required per the needs of the Ringling.
Pay Plan
This is an OPS/Part-Time Job and is not eligible for benefits.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
