POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Enrollment & Eligibility Manager, and in accordance with HRSA contract requirements, the Enrollment Specialist II assists clients, either directly or through referral, with enrollment/re-enrollment in Covered CA, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and MHLA, as well as with the process of accessing Public Benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screen clients using PointCare for eligibility in and assist with enrollment/re-enrollment in Covered CA, Medi-Cal, Medicare, MHLA, commercial products, Ryan White, ADAP, PrEP-AP as well as with the process of accessing Public Benefits.
Serve as the APLA Health & Wellness point of contact for addressing issues related to health plans that are part of independent physicians associations (IPAs) that APLAHW contracts with, including, but not limited to Health Care LA IPA and Regal Medical Group.
Documents contacts and maintains files, utilizing Point Care for enrollment allowing them to accurately qualify and enroll patients into coverage, faster.
Assist Enrollment & Eligibility Manager with training for new staff when requested.
Provides support for questions from Enrollment Specialists I and other clinic staff in the absence of the Enrollment & Eligibility Manager.
Responsible to provide access to Health Plan provider logins to staff so they can check patient's eligibility, coverage and check claim status.
Stay current with APLA Health programs.
Follow up to verify the status of enrollment applications and assist clients who are experiencing problems.
Complete a comprehensive benefits and qualified health insurance assessment for each client.
Maintain and update all client records via eClinicalWorks electronic health record system and reviews to verify and ensure data entered are accurate.
Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails regarding eligibility in qualified health plans and Public Benefits according to agency policy.
Describe what a summary of benefits document is and where to locate a summary of benefits. Explain where to find information about provider networks.
Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails regarding eligibility in qualified health plans and Public Benefits according to APLA Health & Wellness.
Collaborate with other programs at APLA Health & Wellness and other service organizations to facilitate the provision of services.
Maintain an extensive awareness of client resources, both agency-wide and Federally Qualified community based healthcare organization (FQHC).
Attend relevant trainings relating to benefits programs such as My Health LA, and trainings required to meet contract requirements.
Prepare reports and client records as required to meet APLA Health & Wellness, city, state, and federal program requirements.
Follow agency policies and maintain agency standards with regards to client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Training and Experience:
A high school diploma and at least five years’ experience in benefits enrollment, or an AA degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in benefits enrollment. Must be trained as a Medi-Cal Enroller, Covered CA Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) and ADAP/OA HIPP/PrEP-AP Enroller or acquire these certifications within six (6) months of hire. A proficiency in writing, proofreading and grammar skills is important, as well as interpersonal customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Job Summary:
The Director of Crisis Services is responsible for leading outpatient crisis services throughout Cummins, consistent with evidence-based practices that are recognized within the behavioral health industry. Working in collaboration with the organization's leadership, the Director of Crisis Services leads program and service development initiatives and ensures the quality and consistency of this division's clinical practices throughout Cummins' service delivery area. The crisis team provides crisis intervention services to diverse individuals, families, and other professionals assisting those in crisis. Utilizing contemporary crisis prevention and intervention evidence-based practices, team members work as a member of an interdisciplinary team that includes Peer Recovery Specialists, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Crisis Intervention Therapists, and community emergency response systems including but not limited to local law enforcement, hospitals, and emergency first responders.
The Director of Crisis Services position may work non-traditional hours as this position is the member of a Crisis Response Team that serves Cummins consumers 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. The position consists of a combination of virtual service and face-to-face service in the community, mindful of safety guidelines and risk mitigation procedures.
The crisis team will utilize the following models and approaches to guide the individual and/or family in a position of crisis to a position of safety, necessary to pursue whole person health including:
Evidence based practice for Assessing and Managing Suicide Response.
Trauma and Shame-informed Treatment.
Motivational Interviewing (MI).
The Wellness and Recovery Model and Approach including the inclusion of Peer Recovery Specialists and community allies in the interdisciplinary team approach.
Person and Family-Centered Treatment Planning (PCTP)
Essential Functions:
Crisis Services Program
Provide clinical feedback and recommendations to treatment teams and crisis system workers in order to optimize effective clinical care to persons with high-risk behaviors.
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of clinical programs within the area of crisis services. Serve as chair or co-chair of program development task groups and committees related to crisis services program initiatives.
Review, revise, develop, and implement clinical and operational policies, procedures, and processes related to the area of crisis services consistent with the organization's goals and professional standards.
Monitor the delivery of crisis services programs and ensure the programs and services offered contribute to the organization's mission, vision, and values statement.
Assist the crisis team in shift coverage, staffing, scheduling, and other managerial duties as needed or required. Coverage of key crisis positions may be required.
Effectively promote, plan, and collaborate with other organizations to enhance crisis service delivery in Cummins service areas including but not limited to building partnerships with organizations across the crisis service delivery continuum, create/approve marketing materials, participate in and attend community meetings concerning crisis services and/or the continuum of crisis services.
Work with leadership to expand crisis services in Cummins service delivery areas.
Quality Assurance
Conduct oversight of clinical practices and systems related to crisis services, maintaining attentiveness to solutions for needed systemic improvements.
Ensure that appropriate risk management practices are established and carried out within crisis services.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of internal and external policies, ethical standards, procedures, laws, contracts, payers, regulations, accreditation standards, and the organization's corporate compliance plan as related to crisis services.
Provide clinical staffing to crisis staff as needed or required.
Professional Development and Performance Improvement
Design and implement performance improvement initiatives to ensure quality and consistency of care and to meet all other needs and expectations of the organization.
Train, teach and guide clinical providers in the usage and refinement of evidence-based clinical practice related to crisis services, necessary for strong clinical outcomes for persons served.
Establish timely and effective communication with appropriate staff to keep them aware of important corporate information, as well as to receive information and insights from them.
Organizational Leadership
Continuously gather, analyze, and interpret appropriate data from internal and external sources to measure key changes in the business climate, market performance, customer satisfaction, future community needs, and performance of county operations.
Provide regular program reports to key systems within Cummins such as Risk Management and Clinical Policy Performance Improvement Committee.
Participate in community, professional, and other activities to advance the interests of the organization and those it serves.
Ensure that respective organizational areas receive adequate advice, assistance, and service to aid them in attaining corporate and business unit objectives, and to be a source of technical assistance related to this service division.
Training and Development:
Participates in continuing education programs and in-service training on request or in conjunction with developmental and training goals or as deemed appropriate to increase personal and professional effectiveness and improve the service quality provided our customers. This individual serves a key role in the development and provision of in-house staff training in the area of crisis services. As appropriate, individual will maintain compliance with Indiana licensure requirements pertaining to continuing education units [CEU's].

The Community Habitat Coordinator reports to the Community Habitat Program Manager and works to meet the goals of the Community Habitat Team by implementing community-based programs and campaigns that equitably create and connect wildlife habitat in communities while connecting people to nature and wildlife. The Community Habitat Team is working to integrate equity and justice into its existing program models and exploring new opportunities to engage marginalized communities, including low-income communities and communities of color.
In this role you will coordinate the day-to-day functioning of the Community Wildlife Habitat program, the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge, the Trees for Wildlife program and other partnerships and campaigns. You will support our partner municipalities and community-based organizations that are working to implement these programs. You will also assist in content creation, help improve online systems, and provide some administrative support to the program team. In this role you will:
Support the overall success of the Community Habitat Team programs and other community-based initiatives and partnerships that align with NWF’s strategic plan.
Support the integration of equity and justice into existing program models.
Run the online platform for the NWF Community Wildlife Habitat program by effectively communicating with team leaders by email, phone, and social media, providing trainings to new participants, and proactively offering support to communities to help them meet annual goals.

While our focus is on the protection of public lands in the American Southwest, our work has a national scope and impact. To achieve our mission of empowering Hispanic leaders to engage their communities in the conservation of our nation’s public lands, we are seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to work in AZ, CO, DC, NM, NV, UT, Northern VA, or Central VA ( due to COVID-19 all employees are working remotely until we make return to office decisions ).
Initially reporting to HECHO’s Executive Director, the HECHO Communications Coordinator will support the HECHO Communications Manager in developing compelling messages, uplifting strong messengers, and using targeted communications vehicles to support our advocacy and education campaigns. This person will work closely with the National Wildlife Federation’s communication department, HECHO’s advisory board members, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council, and HECHO and other NWF staff to implement successful communications campaigns, projects, strategies, and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Communications Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive communications outreach plan for both English-language and Spanish-language content, including an editorial and social media calendar, to authentically engage HECHO’s followers, event participants, and volunteers.
Regularly write content in English and Spanish including blog posts, fact sheets, issue briefs, letters, op-eds, and newsletters.
Write and distribute press releases and background materials in English and Spanish on efforts of interest to national, regional, and web media.
Develop talking points for program staff and prepare staff for media interviews.
Help with media training of staff, advisory board, and members.
Coordinate with partners and work on media strategy in coalition with trusted partners.
Work with program staff and partners to assess media needs and develop appropriate media messages.
Assist with developing and maintaining media lists and contacts in English and Spanish media.
Create and schedule social media postings.
Track social media and website analytics.
Qualifications:
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity and passion in conservation issues, public land management agencies, and legislative and administrative processes.
Ability to work independently
Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, and flexible.
Fluent and conversational English and Spanish language skills preferred.
Capable of representing and bolstering marginalized voices in advocacy.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal peers and external partners and allies.
Experience with social media scheduling platforms (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
High level of creativity to complement social media experience and skills, especially on Twitter and Facebook.
Knowledge and ability to use multimedia communications tools, including producing graphics.
Experience:

Initially reporting to HECHO’s Executive Director, the HECHO Communications Coordinator will support the HECHO Communications Manager in developing compelling messages, uplifting strong messengers, and using targeted communications vehicles to support our advocacy and education campaigns. This person will work closely with the National Wildlife Federation’s communication department, HECHO’s advisory board members, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council, and HECHO and other NWF staff to implement successful communications campaigns, projects, strategies, and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Communications Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive communications outreach plan for both English-language and Spanish-language content, including an editorial and social media calendar, to authentically engage HECHO’s followers, event participants, and volunteers.
Regularly write content in English and Spanish including blog posts, fact sheets, issue briefs, letters, op-eds, and newsletters.
Write and distribute press releases and background materials in English and Spanish on efforts of interest to national, regional, and web media.
Develop talking points for program staff and prepare staff for media interviews.
Help with media training of staff, advisory board, and members.
Coordinate with partners and work on media strategy in coalition with trusted partners.
Work with program staff and partners to assess media needs and develop appropriate media messages.
Assist with developing and maintaining media lists and contacts in English and Spanish media.
Create and schedule social media postings.
Track social media and website analytics.
Qualifications:
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity and passion in conservation issues, public land management agencies, and legislative and administrative processes.
Ability to work independently

Fluent and conversational English and Spanish language skills preferred.

General Job Statement:
Director of Finance
The Director of Finance will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, contract and grants management, business planning and budgeting, fleet management, operations and facilities management, and Information Technology.
This position has the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field. CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Travel Requirements
The position is based out of Washington, D.C., or Denver, Colorado. ( Due to COVID-19 all employees are working remotely until we make return to work decisions ). When travel is allowed, expect travel 4-6 times per year, 12-15 nights per year.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000.

Working with HECHO staff, help coordinate action alerts, online events, and donor communications.
Assist the Executive Director with the development and implementation of a digital fundraising strategy, as well as assist in the writing of grant proposals as needed.
Provide communications expertise and media coaching to the HECHO staff and assist with broader coalition efforts that HECHO is involved in.
Work closely with National Wildlife Federation’s communications staff and seek opportunities for joint-communication projects, strategies, actions, and synergy.

Qualifications:
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
High level of creativity to complement social media experience and skills, especially on Twitter and Facebook.
Experience monitoring media and managing media monitoring platforms, as well as digital analytics and email metrics.
Knowledge and ability to use multimedia communications tools, including producing graphics.
Familiarity with conservation issues, public land management agencies, and legislative and administrative processes.
Experience communicating, teaching, and motivating others to engage in equity and justice work.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal peers and external partners and allies.
Competency in website design (Squarespace)
Graphic design and photo editing skills (Canva)
Fluent and conversational English and Spanish language skills preferred.
Experience:
6+ years of experience working in communications, government relations, political campaigns, public relations, public affairs, or journalism, with a minimum of two years' experience leading staff or projects in an operation that delivered strong results.
Experienced storyteller and wordsmith.
Proven success in writing, pitching, and securing media placements in a variety of media platforms.
Experience working with people from different backgrounds and ability to bring people together to work toward common goals.
Ability to collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively and efficiently with both internal and external partners.

Travel Requirements
