Production Supervisor (2nd shift: 3:30pm-12am)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Summary:

To exercise overall supervision of all production employees on the 2nd shift. The Manufacturing Supervisor works as key part of a team to oversee all employees on the shift and to ensure a well-managed, high-performing and safe environment. This role has a significant impact on OEE, daily factory and production operations, staff management and troubleshooting — and is a highly visible position within the company, critical to our growth as a world-class supplier and value-added partner to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that employees understand expectations about their attendance, performance, and adherence to work instructions, working safely, and avoiding injury.
• Assist employees who are not meeting standards to improve to 100% of expectations.
• Monitor and improve press OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).
• Ensure the effective use of all PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Communicate with supervisor from the previous shift and review production schedule, changeover schedule, and issues from the previous shift.
• Ensure all labor and production data is reported and entered correctly into the computer/ERP system.
• Ensure all employees are performing duties correctly and safely.
• Administer performance reviews and coach all operators to improve individual performance -- includes evaluations of new hire employees as they are being trained.
• Participate in scrap-review process.
• Propose and implement improvements that will reduce product cost, increase output, increase machine up time, decrease expense, and provide a better and safer work environment.
• Oversee and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor -- manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Good attendance and performance work history
• Must exhibit strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
