Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Student Advisor, Career and Technical Programs/Health Sciences on the Melbourne Campus in Melbourne, Florida.
The Career & Technical Programs (CTP) Health Sciences` Student Advisor position will assist current Health Sciences CTP students (AS degree or CCC or CTC majors) with program information to include development of an individualized program of study, register students and provide information on students support services. This position will track the progress of CTP students through management of data and will systematically follow up with students. This position will actively engage with employers and workforce agencies for purposes of providing employers information about CTP and gain an understanding of employment and skill set needs by employers. The position will work in collaboration with the Department of Health Sciences and will participate in various related Health Sciences conferences. Such as: recruiting events, program reviews and Industry Advisory Committees.
The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with one year of experience in workforce educational programs or related educational and workforce service programs.
*High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
Minimum physical qualifications:
The annual salary is $35,000. This position is externally funded. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.
