Position Summary:
HRC is hiring Temporary Field Organizers to mobilize HRC members and supporters and pro-equality voters in support of the Equality Act and against anti-LGBTQ+ state legislation. Temporary Field Organizers will report to HRC campaign leadership and mobilize efforts to support the Equality Act and oppose anti-LGBTQ+ state legislation in prioritized states. The Temporary Field Organizer is a temporary, full-time position ending March 31, 2021 with possible extension.
Due to the extraordinary nature of the current environment caused by COVID-19, these positions are both virtual and in-person opportunities depending on the specific state. We are looking for folks based in Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Ohio, Utah and West Virginia. Temporary Field Organizers may be hired outside of the prioritized states for virtual work, though preference will be given to those currently living in a priority state to enable both in person and virtual efforts. Temporary Field Organizers must have access to a computer and camera, private workspace, and stable internet service capable of managing video connections.

Position Qualifications:
All positions at the Human Rights Campaign may require travel on a regular basis or periodically. Where the need arises for business travel, appropriate compensation as outlined by the Fair Labor Standards Act will apply.
