Job Description

Are you looking to make a difference in the world and have a passion for protecting and restoring the abundance of our oceans?  Oceana’s Development Department is looking for a Global Events Coordinator based in Washington, DC. The Global Events Coordinator is an integral member of Oceana’s fundraising team. The Coordinator provides administrative and project support for Oceana’s New York Gala, cultivation events, and meetings primarily focused in the U.S. on east coast events and global events, as needed.

The Global Events Coordinator position is a professional who builds working relationships both internally and externally and is an outstanding ambassador for Oceana. The Coordinator is a member of an integrated team with a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience with special events, information management, research, communications, and administrative functions and must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Director of Global Events and is based in the Washington, DC office.
