What will you do? As a Communications Manager , you will perform the following duties:
Collaborate with OHA Communications team and other agency leadership in all immunization communication activities.
Coordinate, design and update immunization marketing (social and otherwise) campaigns, including promoting vaccine confidence and highlighting equitable and accessible services. Environmental Health Specialists (EHS) work within the section of Environmental Public Health (EPH) and are responsible for protecting the health of citizens by enforcing EPH rules and regulations, educating stakeholders, preventing exposure to environmental hazards by promoting healthy natural and built environments within Clark County. This position will be assigned basic job duties: • Design/Plan Review - the EHS will review designs and plans such as food establishment floor plans, food preparation plans, and Toolkits of various topics. This review is critical to ensure the safety of the facility or infrastructure and compliance with State and Local requirements. • Site Inspections - the EHS will ensure the site matches design and plan criteria and that operations are conducted in compliance with state and local codes. These inspections ensure processes protect the public health and prevent injury. • Complaint and Foodborne Illness Outbreak Investigation - an EHS will investigate complaints by performing records searches, site visits, interviews of complainants and gathering other pertinent information. • Enforcement of Regulation - an EHS will, when necessary, initiate enforcement when regulations are not met. Lead the assessment of current internal and external communications and media practices, systems, and processes and the design and execution of new practices, systems, and processes. Develop and track communications performance metrics on a quarterly basis.

Create and manage systems for ensuring consistent and on-brand communications across all direct-service sites

Ensure the Communications team is creating engaging and impactful content for various platforms and collaborate with other departments to gather content and success stories

Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary

Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks

This is an exempt position reporting to the Program Manager III. This position requires independent judgment and ability to work and manage autonomously and collaboratively with limited guidance; and at times takes direction from the Health Officer and Deputy Health Officer who has statutory responsibility for infectious disease response. This is a full-time position, working 8 hours Monday -Friday. Assist the Communications Director and Communications Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Civic Nation communications department.
Write press releases, talking points, research documents, op-eds, briefs, memos, and other materials.

Assist the Communications Director and Communications Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Civic Nation communications department.
Write press releases, talking points, research documents, op-eds, briefs, memos, and other materials.
Monitor news events and social media activity throughout the day, and compile and produce daily morning press clips.
Create and maintain press lists and respond to media interviews and inquiries with the Director of Communications.
Identify potential news opportunities and support pitching and landing stories for Civic Nation and its initiatives and campaigns.
Manage and maintain internal press assets, including press inboxes and communications outreach applications (Mailchimp, Meltwater).
Support key organization rollouts and press events.
Work with Civic Nation staff on quality assurance and copy edit external materials.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
2+ years of communications/press experience in the nonprofit and/or political environments, including internships.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Compensation
The target salary range for this position is between $70,000-$75,000 and depends upon the applicant's experience . Maintain constant communication with stakeholders of projects to ensure effective project management.
