Position: Clinical Veterinarian
Reports To: Vice President of Zoological Operations
Position Summary:
The Clinical Veterinarian is a full-time clinical position whose role in providing animal care and welfare supports the Aquarium’s mission to inspire people to explore, discover, and learn about Earth’s diverse ecosystems. Using modern zoological best practices, the clinical veterinarian coordinates with the Vice President of Zoological Operations to meet the living collection’s needs for preventative, emergency, and surgical care on a 24/7 basis. Staff support for this position includes a second veterinarian, a licensed veterinary technician, and a large team of experienced animal care professionals. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium has an extremely diverse collection that includes fish and large elasmobranchs, big cats, penguins, otters, and multiple bird, reptile and amphibian species.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Supports LLPA’s Veterinary Services Department and Zoological Operations Team through clinical case management utilizing best practices in medical, surgical, and diagnostic techniques.
· Provides routine and emergency veterinary medical care during regular work hours and shares on-call and weekend coverage responsibilities.
· Provides support for animal care, welfare, nutrition, and other aquarium initiatives.
· Supports diagnostic necropsy, sample collection, and interpretation of results.
· Maintains standards and regulations of AZA, AAZV, USDA, OSHA, and other local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and associations as they apply to zoological institutions and veterinary programs/facilities (i.e. animal care, transport, treatment, and the handling of controlled substances).
· Maintains animal medical records using ZIMS (electronic, cloud-based program) and communicates with staff regarding planned and provided care.
· Contributes to and participates in on-going training for veterinary and animal husbandry staff, as well as mentorship of veterinary and veterinary technician student externs.
· Participates in internal meetings to support clinical case review, animal transactions, animal welfare, and scientific research.
· Fosters good relations with visitors, volunteers, community leaders, contractors, and fellow staff by promoting positive attitudes, good will, cooperation, and providing high standards of service.
· Complies with all Loveland Living Planet Aquarium policies, procedures, and programs.
· Other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills/Competencies:
· Minimum of 2 years post-graduate zoological experience or specialty internship\residency training. ACZM board certification or eligibility preferred.
· Knowledge of the husbandry and veterinary needs of a wide range of mammalian, avian, reptilian, and aquatic species.
· Experience utilizing digital radiography, ultrasound, and rigid and flexible endoscopy for collection of minimally invasive diagnostic information.
· Experience with sedation and anesthesia of a wide range of species, including aquatic immersion and remote immobilization.
Qualifications:
· DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution.
· Must have or be able to obtain a valid state veterinary license and controlled substance certificate, DEA controlled substance registration certificate, and USDA Category II accreditation.
· Must have or be able to obtain a State of Utah driver’s license within 3 months of starting, and be eligible to drive company vehicles.
Physical Demands of the Job:
· This position requires periods of standing and walking as well as extended periods of sitting with technology systems and reporting. The role will primarily be within an attraction environment.
· Must be able to provide veterinary care and assessments in a variety of exhibit and non-exhibit settings. This may include wading, walking on wet floors, and outdoor work under variety of conditions: cold weather, hot weather, high humidity, rain, mud.
· Considerable physical exertion, such as walking, bending, stooping and climbing of ladders may be required.
· Lifting of heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) on a frequent basis.
· Hours and availability: This is a salaried position calculated at 40 hours per week; Position will share in providing on-call support for after-hours emergencies, weekends, and holiday coverage.

Position Description
America Needs You - Illinois was launched in 2015. The Illinois program includes 12 Saturday workshops and several additional transfer support sessions and program events per year. This local site delivers professional development workshops to two classes, currently totaling 70 Fellows, with the goal to grow to 200 (ambitious, first-generation college students) and their Mentor Coaches (accomplished young professionals). The Illinois team works with National staff on curriculum design and development, provides holistic, career services support to Fellows and recruits a new class of Fellows and Mentor Coaches each year.
The Illinois Program Manager will work with the Illinois Executive Director and manage 1 Career Success Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of the ANY-IL program and to help manage and cultivate stakeholder relationships. The Program Manager assists the Executive Director with fundraising and special initiatives and events and helps ensure quality and consistency of the program’s services and deliverables. The Program Manager serves as the liaison with the Associate Board and leads Mentor Coach Recruitment. The Program Manager helps develop and maintain formal partnerships with colleges, universities, and corporations with the aim of securing recruitment and in-kind support. The Program Manager also works with the Career Success Coordinator to oversee case management and internship support for Fellows and Mentor Coaches. This role reports directly to the Illinois Executive Director.
Responsibilities include:
Work with the Career Success Coordinators and Executive Director to oversee logistics and operations to ensure Saturday workshops and other program events (1) run smoothly, (2) create a positive and challenging learning environment for Fellows and Mentor Coaches, and (3) provide an engaging experience for visitors and guests
Manage the IL program calendar and work with national staff to ensure program consistency and quality
Facilitate at Saturday workshops
Oversee the recruitment, training and management of Fellows and volunteers, including application and selection, onboarding, matching, program tracking, and dismissals/rematching
Oversee case management services offered to Fellows and Mentor Coaches
Manage staff to ensure consistent data, program tracking, survey distribution and collection, and Salesforce utilization
Collaborate with the Executive Director on local development and fundraising; engage alumni and supporters
Oversee Mentor Coach Recruitment
Oversee the local alumni tracking and alumni support services
Assist in the management of strategic partnerships to secure internships and volunteers, as well as connect Fellows to community resources
Assist in the marketing of the program to key constituents and ensure the website, social media accounts and collateral materials are current and engaging
Manage the Illinois Associate Board
Ensure effective utilization of the Illinois program team budget resources and identify new in-kind support opportunities
Additional projects and duties as determined by the Illinois Executive Director
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
2-3 years of managerial experience supervising a team is preferred
Strong background in career development and/or mentoring, and experience teaching or training youth and adults (experience working with college-aged youth preferred)
Knowledge of Illinois’ educational, civic and philanthropic landscape
Excellent project management skills and comfort balancing multiple priorities and deliverables effectively

This local site delivers professional development workshops to two classes, currently totaling 70 Fellows, with the goal to grow to 200 (ambitious, first-generation college students) and their Mentor Coaches (accomplished young professionals). The Illinois team works with National staff on curriculum design and development, provides holistic, career services support to Fellows and recruits a new class of Fellows and Mentor Coaches each year.
The Illinois Program Manager will work with the Illinois Executive Director and manage 1 Career Success Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of the ANY-IL program and to help manage and cultivate stakeholder relationships. The Program Manager assists the Executive Director with fundraising and special initiatives and events and helps ensure quality and consistency of the program’s services and deliverables. The Program Manager serves as the liaison with the Associate Board and leads Mentor Coach Recruitment. The Program Manager helps develop and maintain formal partnerships with colleges, universities, and corporations with the aim of securing recruitment and in-kind support. Responsibilities include:
Work with the Career Success Coordinators and Executive Director to oversee logistics and operations to ensure Saturday workshops and other program events (1) run smoothly, (2) create a positive and challenging learning environment for Fellows and Mentor Coaches, and (3) provide an engaging experience for visitors and guests
Manage the IL program calendar and work with national staff to ensure program consistency and quality
Facilitate at Saturday workshops
Oversee the recruitment, training and management of Fellows and volunteers, including application and selection, onboarding, matching, program tracking, and dismissals/rematching
Oversee case management services offered to Fellows and Mentor Coaches
Manage staff to ensure consistent data, program tracking, survey distribution and collection, and Salesforce utilization
Collaborate with the Executive Director on local development and fundraising; engage alumni and supporters
Oversee Mentor Coach Recruitment
Oversee the local alumni tracking and alumni support services
Assist in the management of strategic partnerships to secure internships and volunteers, as well as connect Fellows to community resources
Assist in the marketing of the program to key constituents and ensure the website, social media accounts and collateral materials are current and engaging
Manage the Illinois Associate Board
Ensure effective utilization of the Illinois program team budget resources and identify new in-kind support opportunities

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
2-3 years of managerial experience supervising a team is preferred
Strong background in career development and/or mentoring, and experience teaching or training youth and adults (experience working with college-aged youth preferred)
Knowledge of Illinois’ educational, civic and philanthropic landscape
Excellent project management skills and comfort balancing multiple priorities and deliverables effectively

Position Overview
The Illinois Executive Director (ED) is the face of ANY in the community and a champion for first-generation college students, who will lead and grow their team and market to achieve more impact. A passionate mobilizer and result-oriented changemaker, the ED leads our Illinois site and is responsible for its performance, growth, funding and success. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the ED will be tasked with setting and articulating a compelling site strategy; fundraising and external affairs; overseeing program delivery, partnerships, and people; and providing overall nonprofit leadership and management. Position Overview
The Illinois Executive Director (ED) is the face of ANY in the community and a champion for first-generation college students, who will lead and grow their team and market to achieve more impact. The OADC has struggled with a chronic shortage of qualified attorneys (and other legal service providers) in rural Colorado. This Fellowship will provide a lawyer, recent or soon-to-be law school graduate, with an opportunity to develop a successful law office in an area that the OADC considers to be an underserved area of legal representation. MIT Blueprint Labs seeks an Assistant Director to lead its workforce and automation research portfolio. Blueprint Labs is an initiative at MIT that uses data and economics to uncover the consequences of policy decisions and improve society. Our scholars apply their unique expertise to pressing problems in education, healthcare, and the workforce. Our workforce initiatives currently focus on studying labor market inequalities and the impacts of automation on employment, productivity, and innovation (see previous work ). The Assistant Director will work with Blueprint Co-director David Autor and Faculty Affiliate Daron Acemoglu to scale activities related to completing research, hiring, fundraising, reporting, and collaborating across MIT and with other universities. The Assistant Director will act as the day-to-day manager to Blueprint’s full-time staff of five research fellows and oversee its part-time undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
This is a highly independent position that works with other Blueprint staff, collaborators across MIT, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), nonprofit and government organizations, and at affiliated universities.
The Assistant Director will receive a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually (contingent on funding). An employment term of 3 years or longer is strongly preferred. The starting annual salary range is between $79,500-131,000, calculated based on experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**) :
1. Hiring, onboarding, and management: (30%)
Recruit and hire for research fellowship and support positions, including graduate RAs and post-docs. Work with Blueprint staff to draft and post new positions. Review resumes and conduct interviews
Onboard and support staff, conduct regular check-ins, provide feedback and resources for professional development
Meet regularly with senior faculty to determine project needs and provide support or new resources
Develop recommendations for operations and process improvements. Implements new systems to increase team efficiency and performance

2. Financial reporting and contracts: (20%)
Manage financial accounts, which includes gifts and grants. Analyze past expenses and forecast future spending. Allocate staff and spending to accounts and ensure funds are properly spent according to MIT and contract guidelines.
Facilitate contracts, data agreements, and memorandums of understanding between MIT or NBER and partners such government organizations and private companies. Duties include drafting agreements and negotiating terms with outside partners in conjunction with contract administrators

MIT Blueprint Labs seeks an Assistant Director to lead its workforce and automation research portfolio. Blueprint Labs is an initiative at MIT that uses data and economics to uncover the consequences of policy decisions and improve society. Our scholars apply their unique expertise to pressing problems in education, healthcare, and the workforce. Our workforce initiatives currently focus on studying labor market inequalities and the impacts of automation on employment, productivity, and innovation (see previous work ). These projects have been covered by The New York Times , NPR Planet Money , The Economist , WGBH , and other national outlets.
The Assistant Director will work with Blueprint Co-director David Autor and Faculty Affiliate Daron Acemoglu to scale activities related to completing research, hiring, fundraising, reporting, and collaborating across MIT and with other universities. The Assistant Director will act as the day-to-day manager to Blueprint’s full-time staff of five research fellows and oversee its part-time undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
This is a highly independent position that works with other Blueprint staff, collaborators across MIT, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), nonprofit and government organizations, and at affiliated universities.
The Assistant Director will receive a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually (contingent on funding). An employment term of 3 years or longer is strongly preferred. The starting annual salary range is between $79,500-131,000, calculated based on experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**) :
1. Hiring, onboarding, and management: (30%)
Recruit and hire for research fellowship and support positions, including graduate RAs and post-docs. Work with Blueprint staff to draft and post new positions. Review resumes and conduct interviews
Onboard and support staff, conduct regular check-ins, provide feedback and resources for professional development
Meet regularly with senior faculty to determine project needs and provide support or new resources
Develop recommendations for operations and process improvements. Implements new systems to increase team efficiency and performance
Contribute to Blueprint’s collaborative and supportive team culture by organizing events and opportunities to recognize employee performance
2. Financial reporting and contracts: (20%)
Manage financial accounts, which includes gifts and grants. Analyze past expenses and forecast future spending. Allocate staff and spending to accounts and ensure funds are properly spent according to MIT and contract guidelines.
Facilitate contracts, data agreements, and memorandums of understanding between MIT or NBER and partners such government organizations and private companies. Duties include drafting agreements and negotiating terms with outside partners in conjunction with contract administrators
Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with MIT policies and external guidelines around gifts, grants, and data agreements.
Ensure administrative processes run smoothly and effectively, documenting best practices and streamlining as needed
3. Communications: (20%)
Develop and implement a strategic plan for Blueprint’s workforce communications activities, including through events, media, and online presence
Summarize the research conducted and communicate the work to outside parties
Partner with external organizations and universities to organize regular research seminars, webinars, and an annual conference
Work with third parties to create a new website for workforce initiatives. Supervise branding process and web development for timely completion.
4. Physical space (20%)
Oversee the acquisition, renovation, and management of new office space on campus
5. Fundraising: (5%)
Compile, write, and submit financial and narrative reports to funders, including no cost extensions, adhering to reporting guidelines and requirements.
Liaise with stakeholders, including grant sponsors and prospective funders.

6. Research management (5%)

THE OPPORTUNITY
Breakthrough Greater Boston is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Director of Student Services (SDSS) to oversee all aspects of student support and family engagement for our middle school summer and school-year programs at one of our three campuses as well as provide leadership and support across our three campuses for our Student Services team. The SDSS will be responsible for leading the annual student recruitment and admissions process; overseeing SEL programming; and managing school and community partnerships. The SDSS is a leadership role within the Student Services Team and as such takes on additional responsibilities such as coaching/mentoring colleagues, special initiatives, collaborating across departments, coverage planning for open roles and partnership development. The SDSS works closely with other members of a dynamic Program Team and reports directly to the Managing Director of Student Services.
POSITION OUTCOMES
A successful Senior Director of Student Services will work in close alignment with the Managing Director of Student Services to:
Lead within the department in areas that include but are not limited to: short and long term departmental planning, partnership development, special initiatives, staff support and coverage, data/reporting.
Plan and lead safe and engaging programming during the summer and school year for middle school students and Teaching Fellows
Manage recruitment and admissions efforts across Breakthrough’s partner schools to enroll a cohort of 45-50 students annually
Oversee family engagement initiatives including maintaining frequent positive communication and facilitating fall and spring family check-ins for all 7 th and 8 th grade families
Maintain accurate, up-to-date student records to inform appropriate social emotional support services and/or academic interventions
Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to plan and implement high quality school year and summer programming
Work closely with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure all middle school students are well supported in their academic and social emotional learning
Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partners that advance the work of your department including partner schools, universities, community based organizations and local companies
YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Oversee the day-to-day operations of year-round academic programming at your campus

Support students’ social emotional health and well-being, including supervising BTGB’s school-year and summer counselors
Manage Student Advising Program to ensure that all students are connected to a BTGB advisor and receiving consistent advocacy touchpoints
Oversee the creation and implementation of Tier I, Tier II and Tier III interventions to support students, including daily mindfulness practice (Tier I), restorative circles (Tier II) and SEL Skill Building groups (Tier III)
Provide students with connections to supplemental and enrichment opportunities and maintain important organizational partnerships

Breakthrough Greater Boston is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Director of High School (DHS) to oversee all aspects of programming for 9 th – 11 th grade students at our Boston Campus. The DHS will be responsible for advising and supporting students as they make the critical transition from middle to high school and navigate the first three years of high school. The DHS works closely with other members of a dynamic Program Team and reports directly to the Managing Director of College Access and Success.

A successful Director of High School will work in close alignment with the Managing Director of College Access and Success to:
Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with BTGB’s high school students, supporting their academic and personal growth as well as their social emotional well-being
Maintain positive, regular communication with students’ families, nurturing healthy, trusting relationships and collaboratively ensuring students’ success
Oversee the development and implementation of innovative, responsive programming that is informed by research, partner school offerings and the needs of our students
Collaborate with other Program Team members to create a seamless layer of support for students and families during Breakthrough’s six-year program
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
In this exciting role you will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities including:
Student and Family Support
Serve as primary advisor for 9 th -11 th grade students at your campus; provide consistent, tailored support during one-on-one interactions and school-year programming
Champion students by nurturing individual student strengths and providing timely, appropriate interventions and resources as needed to ensure students are safe and successful
Support students in building their college knowledge and understanding of the connection between high school and their future goals
Build strong relationships with families through annual family check-ins, presence at BTGB events and regular phone and email contact throughout the year
Oversee students’ transition from 8 th to 9 th grade and the transition to college counseling staff
Program Management
Work in collaboration with fellow program staff to plan and oversee Leadership Academy, a six-week summer program for rising 9 th grade students that helps students build academic and leadership skills as they transition to high school
Oversee 9 th and 10 th grade school-year programming that is focused on supporting students in making a strong transition to high school
Support 11 th grade programming and students’ introduction to the College Access Program
Actively research and maintain knowledge of summer and school year opportunities for high school students; connect students with opportunities that match their unique interests and needs as part of Breakthrough’s Summer Exploration and Opportunities Program
Plan and execute programming to expose students to different career, college and cultural opportunities in the Boston area
Collaborate with Managing Directors to determine the best high school program structure to address the unique needs of our Boston campus (e.g. partner school structure, student mobility)
Partnership and Data Management
Maintain positive, frequent communication with partner school staff members as well as representatives from other local youth serving organizations to collaboratively ensure our students’ success
Conduct guidance counselor check-ins each semester to further inform individual supports for students and identify additional enrichment opportunities

Breakthrough Greater Boston (BTGB) is a transformative college access and teacher training program. BTGB offers six years of academic enrichment and college preparation to middle school and high school students with high potential but limited opportunities. Simultaneously, BTGB recruits, trains and inspires a diverse cohort of high achieving college students to become the next generation of urban teachers. Leveraging a Students Teaching Students model, BTGB provides engaging, tuition-free academic programming during the summer and after school. Over the past eight years, 97% of our graduating students have matriculated to college, and 82% of them have persisted through their undergraduate years. THE OPPORTUNITY
Breakthrough Greater Boston is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Director of High School (DHS) to oversee all aspects of programming for 9 th – 11 th grade students at our Boston Campus. The DHS will be responsible for advising and supporting students as they make the critical transition from middle to high school and navigate the first three years of high school. The DHS works closely with other members of a dynamic Program Team and reports directly to the Managing Director of College Access and Success.

Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with BTGB’s high school students, supporting their academic and personal growth as well as their social emotional well-being
Maintain positive, regular communication with students’ families, nurturing healthy, trusting relationships and collaboratively ensuring students’ success
Oversee the development and implementation of innovative, responsive programming that is informed by research, partner school offerings and the needs of our students
Collaborate with other Program Team members to create a seamless layer of support for students and families during Breakthrough’s six-year program

Student and Family Support
Serve as primary advisor for 9 th -11 th grade students at your campus; provide consistent, tailored support during one-on-one interactions and school-year programming
Champion students by nurturing individual student strengths and providing timely, appropriate interventions and resources as needed to ensure students are safe and successful
Support students in building their college knowledge and understanding of the connection between high school and their future goals
Build strong relationships with families through annual family check-ins, presence at BTGB events and regular phone and email contact throughout the year
Oversee students’ transition from 8 th to 9 th grade and the transition to college counseling staff
Program Management
Work in collaboration with fellow program staff to plan and oversee Leadership Academy, a six-week summer program for rising 9 th grade students that helps students build academic and leadership skills as they transition to high school
Oversee 9 th and 10 th grade school-year programming that is focused on supporting students in making a strong transition to high school
Support 11 th grade programming and students’ introduction to the College Access Program
Actively research and maintain knowledge of summer and school year opportunities for high school students; connect students with opportunities that match their unique interests and needs as part of Breakthrough’s Summer Exploration and Opportunities Program
Plan and execute programming to expose students to different career, college and cultural opportunities in the Boston area
Collaborate with Managing Directors to determine the best high school program structure to address the unique needs of our Boston campus (e.g. partner school structure, student mobility)
