ProLift Toyota Material Handling is searching for a successful Forklift Technician/Mechanic who will efficiently perform quality repairs on Forklifts and Industrial Equipment in the Louisville, KY area. Successful Forklift Technician/Mechanic will complete work assignments in a safe and satisfactory manner and promote our services and products with the goal of becoming an "Indispensable Partner".
Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Technician/Mechanic will ensure proper maintenance is performed and any ProLift Toyota Material Handling vehicles assigned
Maintain adequate and accurate parts inventory assigned
Perform the service job on time and right the first time
Repair and service lift trucks and other equipment
Diagnose problems
Obtain parts and technical information needed to repair equipment
Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner
Accurately communicate appropriate information to those who need to know on a timely basis
Maintain acceptable personal and work area standards for safety
Communicate positively and courteously with our customers
Accurately complete work orders, time cards, support information, etc. and turn in on a timely basis on a tablet
Operate lift trucks and equipment as required
Read and comprehend technical manuals
Use proper test equipment for troubleshooting
Own and maintain hand tools as required by management. (Current tool list inventory required to be on file)
Complete work orders thru tablet software
Manage customer service initiatives (Used Voice of the Customer and Loyalty Guarantee) Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling’s philosophies, vision, strategies, and value of “Doing the Right Thing”
TLLP “’Toyota Lean Logistics program” visionary
Protects organizations values by keeping information confidential and ability to handle sensitive information
Education/Job Requirements:
High School Graduate or Equivalent, Tech School Preferred
Valid Driver’s License
Proficient with Computer/Tablet skills
2 years’ mechanical experience preferred
Working Conditions (but not limited to):
Work around exhaust fumes, gas, diesel, solvents, paints, thinners, etc.
Noisy conditions in shop – air tools, compressors, truck lift, running engines
Some travel may be required
Some stairs to climb
Lift or push/pull objects up to 75 lbs. frequently
Lift or push/pull light objects constantly
