Job Description

The Travel Coordinator collaborates directly with the Admissions and Staffing Departments, overseeing student and instructor flight and travel arrangements for Dragons’ international programming.

  • Terms and Remuneration
    • Remote position
    • Part-time, about 10-25 hours/week. Hours are variable depending on the time of year. Potential to increase hours over time through additional opportunities.
    • Compensation is hourly based on experience ($22-$25/hr)
  • Responsibilities – Responsibilities include the following ongoing tasks and projects:
    • Instructor Travel
      • Book and coordinate instructor travel logistics (flights, lodging, stipends, etc.) for orientations and courses (about 50-60 programs throughout the year)
      • Support Summer Orientation travel logistics (van rentals, group hotel accommodations, stipends, documentation of travel details and deadlines, etc.)
    • Student Travel Coordinator
      • Source group flights through established relationship with travel agency
      • Track all utilization deadlines, seat reductions, ticketing deadlines and refunds
      • Manage individual deviation and change date requests with travel agency
      • Produce flight sheets with all student flight information for instructors and Program Directors
      • Oversee student travel days for summer and semester programs (provide necessary flight information to flight chaperones and airport travel day managers, arrange meeting spaces, organize hotels for students, etc.)
  • Skills – The Travel Coordinator should demonstrate the following:
    • A passion for, and experience with, travel planning and logistics
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
    • Strong familiarity with common administrative systems and technologies (spreadsheets, cloud-based file sharing, SalesForce, etc.)
    • Preferable: Experience working with international education programs
