Job Title: Machinist

Summary/Objective

Live and work where everyone else vacations! Century, LLC is seeking a Machinist! We are looking for a talented CNC Machinist with a few years of experience under their belt, with hopes of wanting to grow into a leadership role.

1. Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine turning, milling, grinding and polishing to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
2. Mounts workpiece to fixture or between centers.
3. Selects and installs correct tooling for corresponding job.
4. Depresses buttons, toggles, and starts machining operation.
5. Observes control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments.
6. Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
7. Studies job packets and organizes materials for next run during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
8. Follow weekly schedule to meet shipping deadlines.
9. Maintain machine maintenance and cleanliness, fill out proper checklists.
10. Verify that proper tooling required to do daily tasks is on-hand.

The ideal candidate to join the Century team will possess the following:

• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Experience in leadership role
• 5-10 years of CNC machining
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to follow directions written or verbal.
• Be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills
• High level of integrity
