This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management​.

The Mailroom Account Associate will:

  • Perform daily sorting, prioritizing the sites First-Class Postage, USPS (Certified & Registered), Parcels, Standard Postage, and conduct employee mail look-up process.
  • Follow and create required records requirements in a standard format and repository via SharePoint.
  • Maintain records, accounts, or correspondence with customers, vendors or other departments as needed for tracking mailing and parcel receipts, distributions and fulfillment requirements.
  • Compile records of departmental costs and expenditures (Office supplies, postage usage and other incidentals expenditures).
  • Perform daily rounds as required by site requirements.
  • Pickup mail from the post office, deliver outgoing postage to the post office, deliver internal plant mail and parcels to customers during your first round (mornings) and collect outgoing postage or parcels during the second round (afternoon).
  • Process daily outgoing postage by using an approved US Postal postage meter machine. (Example.: Quadient, Pitney Bowes, etc.)
  • Maintain a list of internal mail station locations.
  • Maintain a list of site’s key point of contact for identifying unidentified mail\parcel deliveries.
  • Comply with site’s HSE Procedures that apply to this position (Example: Suspicious Package, Back Safety, etc.).
  • Maintain the Mail Room area by keeping area clean, organized by following KBR and Honeywell safety standards.
  • Support the site in circulating communications, faxes, postage, parcel deliveries and receipts, and capturing the metrics for reporting and quality control measurements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a high school diploma and 1-2yrs of clerical duties preferably in a mailroom environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have great communication and organization skills.
  • Must be willing to work with all levels of personnel within various functional groups.
  • Must be able to organize deliveries and distribute based on prioritization of incoming mail and parcels.
  • Must be dependable and flexible to perform variable tasks as they are presented in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must be very personable and be willing to solve problems and issues quickly.
  • Must be functional in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to stand and walk long distances throughout the day.
