Job Description

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Data Administrator System Programmer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)/ Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) requires contract support for scientific computing operations, computational Analysis, tool development, knowledge, and Program management activities, system services, digital production, and advanced data analytics. These areas enable MSIC to produce scientific and technical intelligence (S TI) assessments of foreign ground-based air defense missiles, ballistic missiles, ballistic missile defense systems, anti-tank guided missiles, anti-satellite and directed energy weapons, as well as their associated command, control, communications, and computer (C4) systems.

The successful candidate provides full lifecycle (requirements through retirement) for software tools and architectures supporting enterprise data analytics. The candidate provides implementation services to an applications group for special assignments, working individually or within a larger project team. The candidate develops, designs, programs, executes, and maintains software and architectures dedicated to data analytics and knowledge management for Enterprise-level use. The candidate will research and prototype innovative methods for semi-automatic data extraction, linkage, and user presentation formats. The candidate converts data from project specifications and statement of problem and procedures to create or modify computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. The candidate coordinates with multiple departments and users to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.

Required Skills/Experience:

Demonstrated experience in database management and software development

Demonstrated experience with data pipeline architecture and functions

Research in the use of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning techniques for data mining

A Counterintelligence polygraph examination is required

Travel: Up to 20%

Must be a U.S. Citizen

An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

A BS Computer Science, Math, Information Systems or similar from an accredited institution is required. (BS + 15; MS+12, PhD+10)

Desired Skills:

An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems (or similar) is desired. Independent research resulting in publications in the areas of artificial intelligence / machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics, time series analysis, probabilistic modeling, knowledge extraction and/or decision theory is desired.

Demonstrated experience with the setup and administration of distributed computing and storage cluster; administration of Linux and ESX servers; administration of an Elasticsearch cluster is desired.
