What we are looking for!

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Please clearly outline in your application/resume/cover letter how you meet the minimum qualifications. Failure to do so might remove you from consideration)

 

  • (a) Six (6) years of related information systems experience in Database Analysis and System Administration

 

OR

  • (b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of related Database Analysis and System Administration  

OR

  • (c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two (2) years of related information systems experience; OR (d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

OR

  • (d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

 

Extensive Knowledge of:

  • Infrastructure specialties and the interrelationship of information management systems.
  • Tools for constructing and maintaining data base structures
  • Methods and procedures for designing, developing, monitoring and maintaining databases.

 

General Knowledge of:

  • Theories, principles, and practices of Information Systems Technology.
  • Project administration methods, principles, techniques, and practices.
  • Change management software administration.
  • Cobol, JCL language, RACF, Omegamon
  • Information systems architecture

 

Basic Knowledge of:

  • business systems and organizational structures.

 

Skills:

  • Administering and managing large scale, multi-system projects including directing and motivating internal staff, contractors and other participants.
  • Identifying the scope and complexity of a project and assigning segments of that project to others.
  • Establishing controls and security measures. 
  • Developing long and short range plans to meet established goals.
  • Analyzing organizational needs and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Providing professional and technical staff information, advice, training and assistance.
  • Extensive knowledge of DB2 on z/OS  
  • Rexx scripting and other scripting languages
  • TSO, SDSF, batch processing,
  • Knowledge of database design and optimization.
  • Understanding of data base connectivity to DB2 LUW ,
  • Experience with DBMS tools
  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
